New LEC Fridge freezer

Refrigeration specialist Lec has added to its A+ cooling range by introducing a full No-Frost combination fridge freezer, which eliminates the need for defrosting.

The TF55185W freestanding fridge freezer boasts a 230 litre total capacity freestanding fridge freezer with an A+ energy rating and full No Frost technology. This means that a fan distributes cooler air evenly inside the appliance to prevent accumulation of ice or frost on the walls or the food inside. Because no frost is generated, and the moisture is not condensed, this results in higher quality freezing which helps to preserve the flavour and nutritional properties of food – saving you time, money, and inconvenience of spoiled food.

The TF55185W, which is 55cm wide and 1.8m tall, also features versatile reversible doors and recessed handles. Available in White, Lec’s latest energy-efficient appliance is equipped with LED lighting, an LED touch control technology and an adjustable, dual control thermostat.

Inside the 155 litre net capacity fridge section there are two glass shelves, a salad drawer and wine rack, as well as multipurpose door storage. Unlike many appliances of this size, the 75 litre freezer section is complete with four spacious drawers, making the space practical and easy to manage.

Eliminating the time, money, and hassle commonly associated with defrosting, Lec’s TF55185 versatile and generous capacity plus energy efficiency makes it a must-have for any busy family kitchen

n 1942 fishmongers Charles and Frank Purley, fed up with the high cost of ice, developed a refrigeration system to keep their fresh fish chilled. And so Lec was born.

The brand quickly became a firm favourite and today, over 60 years later, Lec is still the refrigeration appliance brand of choice in many UK households. In 2005 Lec became part of Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, owner of Stoves, Belling and New World cooking brands and with a reputation for quality and reliability that is unrivalled. The Lec tradition continues with the support of the largest producer and supplier of kitchen appliances in the UK.
