The Middleby Corporation has acquired Escher Mixers, an Italian manufacturer of highly-engineered spiral and planetary mixers.Escher is located in Italy and turns over $15m (£8.5m) a year from supplying large grocery and retail chains, as well as industrial bakery customers.

Hoshizaki take over Ozti

Hoshizaki has confirmed plans to take a controlling stake in the Turkish catering equipment maker Oztiryakiler – better known as ‘Ozti’ – in 2023.
The ice machine and refrigeration firm initially began investing in Ozti before the pandemic and currently owns a 39% stake in the business.
It intends to make the company a consolidated subsidiary next year by acquiring additional equity that will take its share to 51%.The move comes after Ozti recently opened a fourth production site in Turkey, adjacent to an existing factory in Corlu, Tekirdag.
Around £6m has been spent on the new facility, which spans 22,000 square metres.
Ozti manufactures a wide range of commercial products, including refrigerators, dishwashers and steam convection ovens, which are primarily sold to customers in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia..
