Bosch keeping quiet Bosch Silence Edition Appliances

In a bid to shush the noise in your home, Bosch’s latest line dramatically lowers the decibels for the most common domestic annoyances.

“The world is getting louder all the time, making it all the more important to have a place of retreat and silence in the home,” noted Bosch in a press release, adding that “the focus here is on four world champions in quietness: the WAY287W5 washing machine, the WTY887W6 and the WTX87E40 dryers and the SMS68TW00E dishwasher”.

Even quieter than the Bosch Series 6 dishwasher is the Bosch SuperSilence Series 6 refrigerator with its 36 dB.

Then, the Series 8 washing machine clocks at 44 dB, followed by the Series 6 wall-mounted extractor hood with 54 dB and the Home Professional Heat Pump Dryer that has a 59 decibels rating.

According to Bosch, even a 10 dB difference in decibel levels is registered by humans as twice as loud so, if you want a very quiet home, you might just get lucky with their latest line.

LG presents its washing machines with artificial intelligence

BSH breaks ground on new dryer and washing machine facility

BSH breaks ground on its first China-based dryer and washing machine facility in Chuzhou on May 8, 2019. With an initial size of 60, 000 square meters and total investment of 1.69 billion Yuan, the facility is scheduled to go into production starting the first quarter of 2021 with a planned annual output of 3.6 million units.

It is a critical step for BSH to deliver its strategy of making Chuzhou its largest production site globally. The new facility comes after BSH’s first Chuzhou-based dishwasher company which was built in 2018 with a total investment of 0.7 billion Yuan and a planned annual output of 2 million units. The first-stage of the dishwasher facility has come on stream since 2018 and before that, the company’s Chuzhou-based refrigerator facility has seen its second-stage project go into operation. The string of investments signals BSH’s efforts in integrating its individual facilities into an industrial park in Chuzhou.

Compared to the company’s existing washing machine facility in Nanjing, the new facility is designed for the production of large-capacity washing machines, drying machines and dryer-washer combos. Plus, it will be established as an example of BSH’s Industry 4.0 strategy that features digitalization throughout the entire process from procurement, production all the way to end consumers.

It is learned that, the facility will be an important production site of the company worldwide after its operation and it will supply Chinese as well as global markets.

Electrolux wins two Singapore Good Design Mark Awards

Electrolux has won two prestigious Singapore Good Design Mark Awards (SG Mark) for its Multi Door Refrigerator and UltimateCare™ 500 washing machine and dryer set.

The Electrolux Design team were recently awarded at a ceremony in Singapore for their human-centric designs that offer outstanding consumer experiences and improve everyday living.

The Plus X Award is given companies for innovation and brand excellence. The same range was also tested in the January issue of the German consumer magazine ETM Testmagazin, specializing in independent product testing.
