Sirius names date of trade conference
Appliance and kitchen retail buying group Sirius has announced its annual trade conference will take place on May 17, 2023, at the Concorde Conference Centre in Manchester.
Following a day of networking at the conference, members will be invited to attend its Gala Awards Dinner.
The awards ceremony will take place inside a purpose-built super hangar, so all guests can experience Concorde G-BOAC.
Managing director at Sirius Buying Group Steve Jones said: “We are looking forward to another great conference which will deliver an important opportunity for our members and suppliers to meet together and further develop their business and personal relationships.
Interclean China
With a continued growth, the investment in infrastructure in China is rising as well as the general living standard. And the demand is high for professional cleaning, disinfection and hygiene products and services. The latest innovative products, services and facilities of the sector will be showcased at Interclean China, the international trade show for cleaning and hygiene, that is set to return from 25-27 September in Chongqing. Following the launch of the show in 2021, this year’s event will be bigger and international, with more than 200 exhibitors, 40+ keynote speakers and more than 8000+ visitors expected. All segments from the professional cleaning and hygiene industry will be presented, including healthcare, machines, equipment, detergents, washroom, management and mobility solutions, robotics, Artificial Intelligence and more. Visitors will have the chance to attend conferences, workshops and demonstrations for example from global vendors looking to import their products and services for the ever-growing market. The event’s location, Chongqing, is an important hub in southwest China – one of the fastest growing major regions in the country. Home to more than 31 million people, the city has also seen significant growth over the years.
Versuni joins APPLiA
Home Appliance Europe, a Brussels-based trade association that provides a “voice for the home appliance industry,” has welcomed Netherlands-based Versuni, previously known as Philips Domestic Appliances, to its ranks.
With this update, Versuni joins 24 direct members and 25 national associations of 24 countries. Founded as Philips Domestic Appliances, Versuni was made independent in September 2021, and rebranded in 2023. Versuni is made up of licensed the Philips consumer brand, along with other brands such as Saeco, Gaggia, Philips Walita, Preethi, L’OR Barista and Senseo.
Versuni’s product portfolio also includes kitchen appliances and floor care, with presence in over 100 countries and 900 patents.
Henk S. de Jong, CEO of Versuni, said that the company is “committed to delivering top notch products and solutions improving daily lives, while caring for the environment,” outlining sustainability as “a core pillar of our business model.”
This makes Versuni a good fit for APPLiA as the trade association has made sustainability and reducing waste one of its key philosophies.
“APPLiA is the perfect vehicle to promote the values and contributions of the sector to the consumers, the economy and the environment alike, creating the conditions for a prosperous, future-proof development,” said de Jong.

UFESA SHOWS OFF
Ufesa has traveled to Frankfurt to present its latest innovations at the Ambiente fair, which is held from February 3 to 7. The firm, as part of the B&B Trends group , is present at its stand along with two other brands: Zelmer, another of the group’s main brands, leader in Poland and Eastern Europe; and SDA Factory, a production center focused mainly on the manufacture of irons, ironing centers and super automatic coffee machines.

LG Showcases Portfolio of Advanced Home Appliances With “Life on the UP” at KBIS 2023
LG Electronics (LG) is presenting its state-of-the-art kitchen and living appliance lineups at the 2023 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, from January 31 to February 2.
Under the theme of ‘Life on the UP,’ LG’s exhibit showcases the modern design and advanced technology of the company’s latest appliances while highlighting the personalized convenience they provide through the addition of ThinQ UP and ThinQ Care features – now available on LG’s premium built-in lineups for the very first time. Featuring eight unique zones, LG’s booth explores diverse consumer lifestyles and aesthetics with each zone representing a different, well-known American city, location or landmark, and each displaying a selection of new, cutting-edge LG appliances.
Visitors to KBIS 2023 can discover the latest premium kitchen solutions from luxury built-in brands, Signature Kitchen Suite and LG STUDIO, both of which offer the refined design and personalization options that today’s consumers want for their homes. The new Signature Kitchen Suite 48-inch built-in refrigerator comes in stainless steel or panel-ready option and boasts Signature Fit™ Integrated Design; enabling a seamless match with any interior décor and giving customers the choice of proud or flush installation.

IFA will remain in Berlin for the time being
After long speculation, the IFA will continue at the Berlin location. The traditional trade fair is said to have signed a ten-year contract with the rights holder gfu and the event company Clarion.
