GE Profile adds Alexa to its wahing machines

Beyond its built-in Alexa, the Top Load 900 series also has Enhanced Smarter Wash Technology that uses adaptive technology to deliver a stronger clean. With this technology, consumers have the ability to adjust the cycle based on the desired power and care for each item. On top of this, Smart Wash and Smart Rinse features rely on sensors to measure soil and detergent levels to help minimize wash times and deliver better fabric care.

CAFÉ™ COUTURE™ OVEN WITH AIR FRY

CAFÉ™ appliances today announced the wide availability of its newest innovation, the CAFÉ™ Couture™ Oven with Air Fry, which allows its fashionable owners to cook quick weeknight dinners or show-stopping meals for entertaining using 14 essential cooking modes, including a unique ‘Crisp Finish’ mode.

The CAFÉ Couture Oven with Air Fry is available in signature CAFÉ finishes, Matte Black, Matte White, and Stainless Steel, allowing consumers to bring their personal style to the countertop in a 17” x 18.6” x 14” footprint. All models feature signature CAFÉ copper hardware accents.

GE launch Arden

GE Appliances, a Haier Company, announces the launch of a very innovative product: Arden, a pellet barbeque smoker that’s been transformed to be used indoors instead of out. New kind of small appliance, it enables anyone to easily create mouthwatering barbecue from the kitchen, thanks to a unique smoke elimination system first innovated at FirstBuild for the Monogram Smart Hearth Oven. This system allows Arden to be used in any indoor setting.

The FirstBuild product generates fresh smoke from wood pellets, and make it circulate throughout the appliance. Temperature can be controlled in a precise way throughout the cooking process. Moreover, the Arden’s smoke-elimination technology requires no additional filters to clean or replace.

In addition, maximizing countertop space, Arden can feed a family without having to fire up the big smoker outside. Arden can smoke up to three racks of ribs at a time, or a brisket, or a pork butt, as well as spices, cocktail garnishes, sauces and more. GE APPLIANCES NEW WASHING MACHINES

General Electric Appliances has just unveiled its newest models of washers and dryers, and one pair of laundry day heroes is equipped with Amazon Alexa

The GE Profile washers and dryers, announced during this year’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, include front load units and top load units, the latter of which, called the Top Load 900, includes the first washing machine to have a built-in voice assistant, Amazon Alexa.

So what exactly can Alexa do for your laundry? You can tell it to set your machine for specific fabrics or adjust the settings — pretty much anything you could do by hand. What can’t Alexa do? Well, you’ll still have to separate the clothing yourself, put the clothes into the machine yourself, and transfer everything to the dryer yourself.

Besides the voice assistant shtick, the washer and dryer are packed with other features to hopefully make laundry day suck less. The washer uses SmartDispense technology, which basically means you can pour up to 50 ounces of detergent into the washer and let it dispense how ever much detergent it needs for each load. To reduce water usage, the washing machine can detect soil and detergent levels in the wash to more efficiently clean while using less waterThe front-loading washer and dryer, called the Front Load 950, announced during the event don’t have Amazon Alexa built into them, but they do feature advancements in cleaning. The washing machine has customized stain removal technology that’s able to treat up 40 types of stains, and you can even get notifications about your laundry on your phone.

The washer’s gasket, dispenser and draining system have Microban Antimicrobial Technology so odor-causing bacteria doesn’t grow over time. And if you have a small enough wash load, the washing machine can wash and dry the entire load without the need to transfer things to the dryer.

GE $118 Investment

Roper Corp., a subsidiary of GE Appliances and Walker County’s largest employer, will invest $118 million to expand its manufacturing operations, creating an additional 600 jobs in LaFayette. Roper Corp. currently employs 2,000 people in the surrounding region.


THE CAFE BRAND

The Cafè brand operating under GE Appliances, a Haier company, announced two new products to its portfolio with the release of its Cafè Affetto Automatic Espresso Machine and Cafè Bellissimo Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine. Both appliances embody the brand’s tagline, “Distinct by Design” by adding sophistication to any countertop while also delivering on taste and flavor.

Cafè Affetto is an Automatic Espresso Machine that creates custom cups of Espresso, Americano, or Lungo in less than 90 seconds. It pays homage to the home of the espresso with an Italian name meaning “affection,” also features a My Cup setting for custom flavors and a quiet stainless-steel burr grinder with five precise settings.

Cafè Bellissimo coffee machine

The Cafè Bellissimo, instead, is a Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine. Its Italian name means “beautiful,” reflecting the sophisticated design. The model offers the option to customize flavor with an adjustable grinder that offers 15 settings ranging from coarse to fine, and a built-in steam wand that rotates a 180-degree motion for control and convenience.
