Teka clarifies doubts about differences and similarities between induction plates and ceramic hobs,

Teka clarifies doubts about differences and similarities between induction plates and ceramic hobs, to inform which of them suits each type of client. For example, induction plates generate heat when they come into contact with a container as it works by creating an electromagnetic field . Therefore, these types of plates offer greater security since the surface itself does not generate heat and is much faster. These plates, according to Teka, are perfect for modern and family kitchens, since they are very easy to clean and their consumption is quite low .

The vitroceramics , on the other hand, work by heating resistances under the glass which in turn, unlike induction plates, heat the surface. They look a lot like gas but the latter work with electric energy so they pollute much less. However, ceramic hobs are much safer and easier to clean than traditional gas stoves . One of the most important characteristics of glass ceramic is that any container is suitable for this type of plates , so it represents a great advantage.

Differences between induction plates and ceramic hobs
The use of containers , the ease of cleaning or the rapidity in obtaining an optimum cooking temperature are the main differences between the ceramic hobs and the induction plates. To know which one is perfect depending on the client, you have to concentrate above all on your needs, such as the kitchen space and the time that one devotes to the kitchen taking into account everyday life.

For example, for a family with children , workers who have very little time or people who do not need to use very demanding techniques in the kitchen , induction plates are perfect. In addition, the fact that the surface only heats up when coming into contact with the container gives a lot of security, especially to families with small children and people who have pets.

On the other hand, the ceramic hobs are very versatile, something ideal for lovers of traditional cuisine that use certain culinary techniques . They have the great advantage that their care is also very basic .

Similarities between induction plates and ceramic hobs
These two types of equipment are much easier to maintain than gas stoves , especially in homes where they are the most used equipment. Both systems are safer and do not need a natural gas installation or rely on butane for operation. However, gas stoves are more used in hospitality and by culinary experts. Both induction plates and ceramic hobs have greater control of heat power , especially induction plates where the graduation system is much more precise and simple to use. In addition, the boards are evolving much more in the sense of being equipped with fire solutions and safety programs.

What materials work on induction plates?
Teka offers a practical guide that will help customers identify which are the best materials and which should not be chosen when buying a kitchen battery.

Yes: First, iron is the material that best reacts to induction as well as stainless steel because of its high proportion of iron. The forged aluminum alloy with other metals is also another perfect choice. Similarly, titanium is a ferromagnetic that works on induction plates, since pans incorporate a diffuser . Finally, thermolon is a novel and healthy material that needs a diffuser base for induction . With any of these materials, the induction plate will work perfectly.

No: The pure aluminum , for example, is paramagnetic , thus their ability to create heat is minimal and therefore food not cooked finish . In addition, kitchen utensils made with mud do not react to induction since they are not metallic elements. Similarly, normal stainless steel is also not detected by induction plates, which is also not compatible . Finally, the glass ceramic , despite its cooking properties, does not react to induction . And the gold pans , despite their price, do not work on an induction hob.

In general, when choosing a plate, it is essential to choose it with a number of stoves appropriate to the number of people living in the house and the time they can devote to the kitchen . For example, four stoves for a single person is not necessary and the person can save both on cleaning and on the initial expense.

Smuggling of home appliances to Iran rises

The volume of home appliances smuggled to Iran has increased, while most of the goods are smuggled from Dubai to Tehran via country’s southern borders, said the head of Tehran Home Appliance Association,Trendreports citing Fars News Agency.

“The number of smuggled home appliances to the country has increased comparing to previous years. Despite the ban on imports, the home appliances shops are offering foreign brands,” said Morteza Miri.

“Part of smuggled home appliances arrive to the country via western or southern borders, but another part is the domestic home appliances that are being sold under foreign brands,” he noted.

“Smugglers take the domestic home appliances to western borders, stick foreign brands on them and multiply the price to sell it in Iranian market. The fake home appliances are being sold via social media; therefore, it’s advised that people pay attention to the validity of the products,” he added.

In his words, some people purchase the home appliances in Dubai and give it to smugglers to be delivered in Tehran.

“It was expected that domestic production will be supported after the import of home appliances was banned, but it did not happen,” he said.

“Meanwhile, the prices of domestic home appliances have not increased in the last two months, the manufacturers of domestic home appliances obtain foreign currency at NIMA rate to import raw material,” he added.
