Leveraging LG’s advanced heat pump technology, the new, space-efficient appliance delivers an effective washing and drying performance, gentle clothing care and an unparalleled one-stop laundry experience.
The stylish 27-inch Washer-Dryer with Heat Pump features LG SIGNATURE’s seamless, elegant design, and boasts ample room for getting clothes clean and dry with a 25-kg washing capacity, and 13-kg for drying. A genuine space-saver with a large capacity, LG’s washer-dryer also integrates the innovative TWINWash™ feature, a small washer located below the main drum that’s ideal for cleaning delicates or daily workout gear. The ability to wash and dry makes the company’s new all-in-one model especially suitable for homes and apartments where space is at a premium, and responds to the call from many consumers for a laundry solution that saves both time and space.
A one-stop laundry solution, the LG SIGNATURE Washer-Dryer streamlines the user experience, providing intuitive ‘single touch’ control. Its AI-powered laundry and drying course detects fabric types and load size, as well as the presence of residual moisture, automatically applying the optimal settings for the best washing and drying results. Conveniently, the drying process begins as soon as the washing cycle has concluded, reducing operation time. LG’s innovative, new appliance employs the company’s own inverter heat pump drying module to significantly reduce drying times and maximize energy efficiency. And thanks to 6 Motion™ AI Direct Drive technology, the washer-dryer also intelligently optimizes drying performance and minimizes fabric damage for each and every load.
The company’s new combination washer and dryer further enhances ease of use with a range of thoughtfully applied smart features. The appliance’s smart touch door and voice recognition capabilities, for example, allow users to turn on the machine and open its door with practically no effort at all. Samsung Launches Less Microfiber™ Filter that Moves Towards Protecting Oceans from Laundry Plastics
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of the new Less Microfiber™ Filter, an external washing machine filter designed to significantly reduce plastic microfiber emissions during laundry cycles. Designed with inspiration from apparel maker Patagonia and expertise from the global ocean conservation organisation Ocean Wise, the filter builds on the success of last year’s Less Microfiber™ Cycle to substantially cut microplastics and enable sustainable laundry washing that is both effective and effortless. The new filter is now available in Korea and the U.K., and will roll out to other countries in the third quarter.

The Less Microfiber™ Filter takes this a step further, preventing up to 98%[2] of microplastics released during laundry from escaping into the ocean if used as specified, equivalent to eight 500ml plastic bottles per year[3] when used four times a week. In addition, to help more customers get involved in cutting microplastic emissions, the Less Microfiber™ Filter has a mountable design style that allows it to be used with standard washing machine models, demonstrating the company’s dedication to long-term sustainability and helping customers move towards embrace sustainability at home. To verify the technology’s efficacy and its features, both Cycle and the Filter were independently evaluated by Ocean Wise using a peer-reviewed microfiber shedding test protocol at the marine organisation’s state-of-the-art lab in Vancouver, Canada.

Hisense has announced the launch of the 5S series laundry collection, which includes smart washers and dryers. The manufacturer’s new product line features the latest technologies including; Automated dosing, high-temperature steam and devices also have access to the ConnectLife app. The new Hisense WF5S1045BW 5S Series washing machine will automatically select the correct detergent with the amount of rinse aid depending on the weight of the clothes in the drum. Home appliance giant Haier Group’s production base in Tianjin has hit upon a novel idea.Haier is offering consumers a chance to customize a washing machine remotely, just by using their mobile phones. Customers get to choose the functions, appearance and design of a washing machine without having to enter a physical store. Once they place an order, intelligent equipment at Haier’s interconnected factory automatically reads the information and starts production, tailor-made for each client.
It is using cutting-edge digital technologies, including 5G, artificial intelligence and big data, to improve the workshop’s productivity and cut energy consumption by more than 30 percent.
