Samsung @CES 2023

At CES 2023, Samsung showcased the latest innovations for the Bespoke Home range: products equipped with Artificial Intelligence. This gives users the ability to experience their kitchens in a more sustainable way, by giving them insights into what their food will look like, how long it will take to prepare it, and more importantly, how it will taste. One product in particular stood out: a refrigerator with a larger and more immersive 32” display: the Bespoke 4Doors Flex™ with Family Hub™+, as well as the advanced AI Pro Cooking system for the Bespoke AI™ oven, which ensures delicious meals every time.,The new Bespoke 4-Door Flex™ refrigerator with Family Hub™+ introduces the exclusive Family Hub™ features on the Bespoke 4-Door model, equipping the all-in-one hub for communication and entertainment with an astonishingly large display The dynamic features of the Bespoke 4-Door Flex™ Refrigerator with Family Hub™+ are showcased on the 32-inch frameless FHD display – nearly twice the size of previous models. The new, larger dashboard also benefits from the larger display: it allows users to try out SmartThings services and monitor and control their compatible appliances more easily. The new Family Hub software is then installed on the refrigerator. Samsung TV Plus now includes more than 190 free channels while the integration with Google Photos transforms the platform into a digital frame on which it is even easier to share and view the shots. Thanks to the larger viewing surface and new picture-in-picture (PIP) function of Samsung TV Plus, users can simultaneously watch their favorite TV programs and also check and monitor the status of other kitchen appliances without losing sight of what they are preparing.

LG to Unveil New Minimalist-Design Appliances at CES 2023Open share list

LG Electronics (LG) is set to introduce a new line of minimalist-design appliances, including a washer and dryer, at CES 2023. Taking a ‘back to basics’ approach, the new range focuses on the essence of each appliance, removing all unnecessary design elements to deliver a timeless, minimalist aesthetic. The distinctive, durable products also reflect LG’s strong commitment to sustainability, featuring recycled materials inside and out and requiring fewer parts and less energy to make than conventional appliances.

Refreshingly unadorned, LG’s minimalist appliances match with any kind of décor, color scheme or interior trend. The lineup’s achromatic color palette and lack of decorative embellishment offers a modern yet classic look that allows the products to blend in seamlessly with their surroundings. In addition to a clean, simple design language, LG’s appliances boast an elegantly clear control experience that users will find effortlessly easy to get to grips with.

Aligned with LG’s goal to continuously reduce environmental impact across all areas of operations, the stylish, new products have been designed with sustainability in mind. By lowering the number of components and printed elements used, LG’s minimalist-design appliances take less time, use fewer resources and require less energy to manufacture. Each model in the new range also features internal and external parts – and ships in packaging – made from recyclable materials.

The new range, which includes a refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, oven range and dishwasher, is also a part of LG’s innovative upgradable appliance lineup, meaning users can add new features to the products via the Upgrade Center in the LG ThinQ™ app.

“Sustainable, stylish and simple to use, our minimalist-design appliances deliver new customer value,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “We will continue to provide advanced, thoughtfully-designed solutions incorporating our innovative technologies and reflecting our commitment to environmental responsibility.”

January 2023 Liebherr will launch the first vacuum perlite refrigerator: BluRoX

Liebher is revolutionising technology in its fridges and freezers, using a vacuum in conjunction with finely ground lava stone, the raw material perlite, to insulate its appliances. The first vacuum perlite models, named BluRoX, will be on the market as early as January 2023. For the very first time, it is possible to produce freezers with the energy efficiency class “A” and “B” in accordance with EU legislation thanks to the innovative technology.

Until now, refrigerators and freezers have been insulated with conventional insulating materials made from petroleum-based polyurethane foam. Instead of these common foam elements, and in a world’s first, BluRoX uses a vacuum in combination with finely ground perlite for insulation.

Due to its crystalline microstructure, the lava stone perlite has a very low thermal conductivity, and the vacuum provides the best possible insulation in terms of energy. As Steffen Nagel, managing director sales & marketing at Liebherr-Hausgeräte explains, «for a family with a 350-litre freezer, the annual power consumption for the appliance could be reduced by up to 20 per cent – This translates into notable savings with steadily rising electricity prices.»

Moreover, the new combination of a vacuum and finely ground lava stone enables a very compact design. Due to the particularly effective BluRoX insulation, Liebherr can design the walls of a BluRoX freezer to be about one third thinner than the walls of a conventional foam-insulated appliance. For an appliance fully equipped with vacuum perlite technology, the result is about 25 percent greater capacity compared to fridges and freezers with the same external dimensions. The FNb 5056 freezer will be the first hybrid model whose door is equipped with BluRoX technology

New Counter-Depth French-Door Fridge Boasts Mirror InstaView™ Panel,
Large Capacity and Four Types of Ice

LG Electronics (LG) is set to unveil the new LG InstaView™ French-Door refrigerator at CES 2023. Helping users create a more stylish kitchen that sits flush with the cabinetry and enjoy an upgraded culinary life, the new counter-depth model offers large capacity and a simple yet elegant built-in design featuring a mirror InstaView panel and unobtrusive pocket handles. It also provides four different types of ice and keeps food fresh for longer with LG’s advanced freshness technologies.

The company’s new, 25.5-cubic feet counter-depth refrigerator offers a generous capacity, despite a nine percent reduction in depth compared to a conventional French-Door model.1 To increase internal storage space, LG redesigned several of the fridge’s core components – slimming-down the cold air duct and the evaporator, while also reducing thickness by applying enhanced insulation. Although its expansive interior provides 25 percent more room for storing food and drinks than LG’s previous counter-depth models,2 the new French-Door can still help to save space in the kitchen thanks to its smaller footprint.

The new model also brings a simple yet sophisticated aesthetic to the kitchen courtesy of LG’s unique mirror-InstaView panel and flat door design. Bordered in sleek stainless steel, the mirror-coated glass of the seamless InstaView panel covers almost the entire right-hand door of the refrigerator. Just by knocking twice on the panel, users can check inside without having to open the door – a time-saving convenience that prevents cold air from escaping and energy from being wasted. The subtle, minimalist beauty and clean, modern lines of LG’s latest InstaView are further enhanced by the discrete pocket handles applied to the fridge’s ‘flat’ doors.

Additionally, the new French-Door refrigerator can create four different types of ice: cubed ice, crushed ice, LG’s exclusive, slow-melting round Craft Ice and the new mini cubed ice. Helping to keep drinks refreshingly cool, LG’s mini cubed ice makes a great addition to juices, sodas or cocktails. With four frozen choices at their disposal, users can select whichever style of ice best suits their need, their drink or the occasion.

Featuring LG’s cutting-edge technologies, the new fridge seals in the freshness of ingredients for longer and helps maintain the hygiene of the built-in water dispenser. The company’s exclusive LinearCooling™ technology reduces temperature fluctuations, enabling the fridge to preserve food at peak freshness for up to seven days.3 Meanwhile, DoorCooling+™ works faster than a conventional cooling system4 to help keep food fresher – and beverages colder – on every shelf. On top of that, LG’s UVnano™ tech maintains the cleanliness of the fridge’s water dispenser, reducing the presence of bacteria on the dispenser’s nozzle by 99.99 percent.5

“LG’s new InstaView French-Door refrigerator makes a superb, stylish addition to any modern kitchen, offering consumers the ultimate in convenience, design and food freshness,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “We will continue to deliver outstanding customer value and experiences with innovative home solutions leveraging elegant, functional design and our advanced technologies.”
