Haier has been awarded the 2023 Terra Carta Seal by The Sustainable Markets Initiative, a recovery plan for Nature, People, and Planet.
The Terra Carta Seal is endorsed by the King of the United Kingdom Charles III and recognises global companies which are actively leading the charge to create a climate and nature-positive future.
The recognition was awarded to #Haier Smart Home for its exceptional waste recirculation and recycling processes and for the renewable energy targets set for Haier Europe, together with the implementation of innovative strategies to serve sustainability through connectivity and IoT technologies.

Miele wins the German Sustainability Award for the second time
Miele won the German Sustainability Award 2023 in the ‘Home Appliances’ category. The Gütersloh company had already obtained the award in 2014. The lifespan of its products, the attention to reducing the resources used in the production phase and the CO2 emissions during the use of household appliances together with the responsibility assumed towards of supply chains and employees earned Miele the jury’s recognition.
The German Sustainability Award recognizes companies from all industrial sectors that have achieved success on their long and arduous journey towards sustainability. Independent specialized juries decided on the basis of sustainability profiles which companies are leaders in 100 categories and identified them

Novy London experience
Novy has launched a new London Experience Centre at Halcyon Interiors on Wigmore Street.
Thursday 21st September, a special event was held to bring the press and Novy’s Innovation Partners – its network of independent kitchen specialist retailers and design studios, together with VIP guests, who were invited to view the collection of Novy products on display and to receive cooking demonstrations by Novy’s executive chef, Daniel Britten.
Co-hosted by Iskender Diker, commercial director, Middleby Residential UK, andJenny Hyatt, sales and marketing director, Middleby Residential UK – Premium Channel – the event turned out to be a success and a superb way to experience the products.
And to add the cherry on top, this was the first opportunity to see the newly launched AGA ERA. The first ever glass AGA, this disruptive and mold-breaking cooker has been carefully considered to create an appliance with premium design values and a quietly assertive aesthetic, making it perfect for contemporary kitchens.
Haier VDE institute
Haier have received two prestigious prizes from “VDE Institute, an internationally accredited organization for the testing and certification of electrical equipment, components, and systems.
The first one has been awarded to the Haier 2D 60 Series 5 PRO refrigerator for achieving A-15% energy class.
The second recognition reflects our efforts to ensure products’ safety, reliability and durability, as well as adherence to the highest standards of quality control and testing.

Miele induction hobs Design Award
Miele induction hobs received two important design awards: the iF Design Award and the RedDot Design Award. Two hobs with an integrated extractor (TwoInOne) and a full-surface induction hob were each double winners.both powerful and quiet in operation. Their reduced design is characterised by the central air intake with a grille set in the ceramic glass screen. This feature, in particular, convinced the jury of the Red Dot Award and allows pots and pans to slide freely. The grille on the rectangular air intake blends in seamlessly with the design of the hob. Depending on the model, the grille is either completely black (KMDA 7272 Silence) or has discreet brushed stainless-steel slats (KMDA 7473 Silence).
A further recipient of the iF and the Red Dot design prize was the KM 7897-1 FL Diamond full-surface induction hob. As many as 6 pots, pans and oven dishes can be placed anywhere on the 90 cm wide hob unit and move around freely. This guarantees untold freedom during cooking.
