New Residential Air Conditioner Creates a Chic and Comfortable Living Environment
SEOUL, Dec. 16, 2022 — LG Electronics (LG) is ready to unveil its latest ARTCOOL Gallery air conditioner at CES 2023. Boasting a 27-inch LCD screen and LG’s upgradable options, the new model can display personalized content to match any season or to instantly refresh the room using the LG ThinQ app. It also delivers energy-efficient cooling and heating with LG’s DUAL Inverter Compressor™ and 3-way indirect airflow, provides a more hygienic performance with AI Dry™ and offers a variety of user-friendly features including an intuitive mobile app.
Presenting exclusive content on a bright LCD screen bordered by a simple, yet sophisticated frame, the ARTCOOL Gallery gives one the impression they are looking at a framed work of art rather than an advanced LG air conditioner. Using the LG ThinQ app, users can select from a growing range of gorgeous, static and animated images – or choose from favorite family photos – and display something new whenever they feel like a change. The new model can be easily managed using the included smart remote or via a mobile app1 that lets users choose settings and functions as well as monitor the appliance’s status in real-time, from any location.
Equipped with the company’s DUAL Inverter Compressor, the new ARTCOOL Gallery delivers energy-efficient cooling, using up to 70 percent less power than a conventional residential air conditioner.2 The new model’s 3-way airflow provides indirect airflows suitable for the space. LG’s latest ARTCOOL Gallery also helps create an indoor environment that is as peaceful as it is comfortable, operating at noise levels as low as 20 decibels and closing its ‘hidden’ bottom vane in sleep mode so as not to disturb or disrupt users’ rest.3
What’s more, the stunning ARTCOOL Gallery provides pleasantly fresh airflow thanks to LG’s AI Dry feature. Automatically setting the optimal drying time based on operation time and mode selection, AI Dry effectively removes any moisture that has formed inside the air conditioner. Additionally, the new model has a bottom grill that can be easily detached and cleaned4 as well as a cover that helps make installation easier.

ELICA CELEBRATES THE TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF ITS JOINT VENTURE IN JAPAN
Elica and Fuji Industrial commemorate 20 years of collaboration
with an event at the Italian Culture Institute in Tokyo.
One of the longest running relationships between Italy and Japan,
that goes beyond business.
has contributed to revolutionize the classic style of the , 24 November 2022 – Elica, world leading company in the production of
kitchen ventilation systems, celebrates the twentieth anniversary of Ariafina. The
brand born in Japan as a result of the joint venture with Fuji Industrial, Japanese leader
in the production of kitchen hoods.
To mark the celebration, an event promoted by the Ermanno Casoli Foundation in
collaboration with the two companies will be held today at the Italian Culture Institute
in Tokyo, where “Iride”, a work of art by the Italian artist Gianluca Malgeri, made in
honor of this anniversary, will be presented. Once again it will demonstrate the
importance of art and culture that has led Elica to bring forth successful paths, even
beyond national borders.
The venue chosen to celebrate this important anniversary was not accidental: The
Italian Culture Institute in Tokyo is an institution committed to spread our country’s
history and culture, as well as to promote Italian creativity in Japan. The building where
the Institute is based, designed by Gae Aulenti, is one of the most significant symbols
of the strong relationship between the two nations. Moreover, the Ariafina joint
venture, combining the beauty of Italian design with the flawless functionality of
Japanese industrial tradition, is an excellent example of how two seemingly distant
worlds are able to communicate, also thanks to the universal language of art.
This collaboration dates back to the beginning of the 2000’s, a period in which Elica,
undergoing a moment of significant expansion, decided to broaden its horizons by
looking towards Japan: a highly industrialized country, where the cooperation with a
local partner was necessary to work there. Hence the decision of the joint-venture
with Fuji Industrial, indisputable leader in the Japanese kitchen hood sector with a
market share of over 50 percent Ariafina Co Ltd was established from the partnership between the two companies, with
the aim of operating in the high-end market segment: a top-level market niche that
did not exist in the Japanese hood sector at the time.
Over the years, Ariafina has contributed to revolutionize the classic style of the
Japanese kitchen, which had always been small and barely visible in the house. Thus,
establishing itself today as a well-known brand able to combine the quality of Italian
design with the avant-garde of Japanese technology.

LG Debuts Home 8 Residential Energy Storage System
Residential energy storage systems have been a growing opportunity for CE pros, and another big name is providing an attractive option in the category. LG Electronics has introduced the Home 8 residential energy storage system (ESS), a new all-in-one solution that the company says will enable U.S. homeowners to manage energy, provide backup power and reduce dependence on the electric grid. The LG Home 8 ESS was unveiled at the 2022 RE+ (formerly SPI) trade show in Anaheim, Calif., this week, where LG Electronics USA also is demonstrating a LG commercial ESS version for the U.S. market.
CE Pro tabbed the smart energy storage and management category as one of the five top tech opportunities for custom integrators in 2022, based in part because of some bigger names entering the fray.
LG’s Home 8 energy storage system combines an advanced inverter and battery in a single unit that is floor standing, and wall supported to provide an organized, streamlined installation, according to the company. Its 7.5kW inverter/charger provides a total capacity of 14.4kWh of usable on-demand energy and is stackable up to four units, which in combination allows up to 57.6kWh of usable energy.
Customers who do not have a solar PV system and have a Time of Use plan can still use Home 8, LG says. The ESS can be used independently from the grid and can charge during the daytime when electricity prices are lower. Home 8 can then be utilized during peak consumption hours when prices increase. In preparation for potential natural disasters and power outages, Home 8 can store energy in advance for later use.An all-in-one energy storage system manufactured by a global leader in smart home technology
