LG WashTower in Paris

To raise awareness for the LG WashTower™, which has been garnering increased popularity among European consumers, LG France set out to win the hearts of French consumers with a unique experience zone. On October 28, the company unveiled a giant structure in the shape of LG WashTower at Pompidou Centre in Paris, catching the eyes of Parisians and tourists alike. For one day, the general public was invited to discover the new design and advantages of the all-in-one laundry solution inside the 8-meter-high column created with realistic proportions and design.

Located in Beaubourg, one of the capital’s oldest districts and the beating heart of Paris since Medieval times, the Pompidou Centre is home to Europe’s largest collection of modern and contemporary art and an important cultural center for Parisians as well as tourists. With daily traffic in the area estimated at around 50,000 visitors a day, it was the perfect location to promote the new LG WashTower.

Upon entry, visitors were met by a model dressing room installed with an actual LG WashTower, showing consumers how the product can flawlessly blend in with home spaces while providing more information about the conveniences the product can provide. And, to provide a source of entertainment, the experience zone featured a game event, offering visitors an opportunity to win LG WashTower figurines created in partnership with famous German toy brand Playmobil.
LG also promoted Busan’s bid to host the World EXPO 2030, setting up banners in the area as part of efforts to highlight the beautiful port city as the best candidate to host the global event.
First introduced in France in July last year, the LG WashTower saw solid sales growth of 150 percent after the launch of its compact version in June this year. The new WashTower Compact is smaller than the 2019 version by 100 millimeters in width, 170 millimeters in depth and 235 millimeters in height, requiring less installation space than a stackable or side-by-side washer and dryer pair of the same laundry capacity. Thanks to its compact size, the LG WashTower has been highly praised by European consumers as a space-efficient solution that delivers greater convenience.

The company plans to further promote the WashTower globally, focusing on its sleek and minimal design as well as the exceptional performance and convenience it provides.

Lg returns to TV with an advert dedicated to Instaview refrigerator

The new LG Electronics television campaign dedicated to the world of Side by Side LG InstaView refrigerators kicked off this week .
The television campaign is part of a broader communication campaign , which will also have variations on digital and social platforms, aimed at consolidating brand and product awareness.
The campaign is developed around the concept ” LG InstaView: the refrigerator made to look inside ” which refers to the peculiarity of the InstaView technology which allows, with two simple touches of the hand on the darkened glass panel, to look inside the refrigerator without having to open, thus avoiding unnecessary dispersion of cold air which is the basis of poor food preservation. This useful function was created precisely to deal with a very widespread habit: opening the refrigerator door and keeping it open for a long time while waiting to check its contents, decide what to eat, which foods to buy… that is, the bad habit created basically by the protagonist of the commercial, filmed while, motionless, he stares at the inside of the refrigerator without being able to make a decision

Samsung, LG and Arçelik announce the interoperability of their smart homes

Samsung , LG , Arçelik and Vestel have announced interoperability between the smart home connections of their products. This removes one of the main obstacles to the development of the smart home. Until now, in fact, it was necessary to download the application of each brand to control smart devices: Samsung SmartThings, LG ThinQ, Vestel VeeZy or Arçelik HomeWhiz.

However, the philosophy of ‘corporate ecosystems’ has not made its breakthrough while the philosophy of complete interoperability has made its way. Thus, the Home Connectivity Alliance was born in 2021, which includes Samsung, LG, Vestel and Arçelik.

Users will be able to choose which application they wish to use and will be able to control LG or Arçelik devices with it (for example with the Samsung app).

The 1.0 interface specification, launched by HCA, enables cloud-to-cloud communication and will be available in some countries as early as late 2023 and then expand over time. Initially, interconnections will only be possible between pairs of brands, for example Samsung with LG. Full interoperability will occur over time.the first phase, washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, air conditioners, stoves, air purifiers and some small appliances will be supported. In the next phase, more devices will be supported. According to the HCA statement, not only newly produced devices will benefit from this opportunity, but also owners of older devices.

Since cloud-to-cloud communication technology will be used, users will not need to upgrade their home appliances or purchase hub devices. Simply update your smart device control software (downloaded to your mobile device

HCA also includes GE Appliances, Haier, Electrolux, and Trane.
