Whirlpool have unveiled the new St. Joseph Technology centre

Whirlpool have unveiled the new St. Joseph Technology Center located in St. Joseph, Michigan.
The $60+ million project is part of a three-phase plan to redesign an iconic research and development facility that has been home to a century of appliance innovations.

“In 1911, the first electric washing machines were built here in St. Joseph, Michigan, and we continue to grow that legacy with the investment in this new, state-of-the-art technology center,” said Whirlpool Corp. chairman and CEO, Marc Bitzer at the event.

The celebration was attended by several elected officials including Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and U.S. Representative Bill Huizenga,

In addition to delivering year-around indoor comfort while using less power than a conventional heating and cooling system, LG’s energy-saving AWHP can provide a reliable supply of hot water via connection to the 200-liter-capacity Integrated Water Tank (IWT).

Miele UK Professional unveils revamped test wash experience centre

The Test Wash facility experience centre offers businesses the chance to see and experience Miele Professional’s commercial laundry machines in action. The facility has undergone a complete redevelopment to create a fully functional showroom that showcases the capabilities of Miele’s professional equipment.

The facility is located at Miele’s headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, and is designed to cater to businesses in various industries, including lab, medical and dental, as well as hospitality and care markets. By allowing businesses to try out the machines before making a purchase, Miele aims to provide them with the confidence and assurance they need to invest in its products.

The Test Wash facility experience centre is equipped with state-of-the-art Miele Professional laundry machines, which are specifically designed for commercial use.

Strix Group Plc , the AIM quoted global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of kettle safety controls and other complementary water temperature management components, provides an update ahead of its Annual General Meeting
At the meeting, Mark Bartlett, Chief Executive Officer of Strix, will make the following statement:
We are pleased to report an improved trading performance and can confirm that profit after tax for the full year remains in line with market expectations*.
“At our full year results, we highlighted that, following a period of uncertainty across a number of Strix’s key export markets, sales data in 2023 indicated some green shoots were appearing. I can report that this trend has continued with Group performance in Q2 improving versus Q1. We are continuing to receive increased frequency of orders from customers, albeit with smaller quantities as they manage their cash balances prudently.
“We also continue to make successful progress on the integration of Billi which is in line and remains on track with our plan for the full year. This is another step that will propel Strix into a new growth phase, further diversifying away from the core Kettle Controls business.
Alongside this, we are continuing to implement a range of strategic initiatives across the business which include a functional streamlining programme to minimise the impact of the ongoing headwinds Strix is facing.
We will prioritise debt reduction with a clear plan to get net debt / EBITDA to below 2.0x during 2023 and to below 1.5x during 2024. As capital allocation decisions prioritise this, the Board, as previously announced, has decided after reviewing the level of net debt to propose a final dividend of 3.25p per share which would represent a total dividend of 6.00p per share.”
Current profit after tax consensus for year ended 31 December 2023 is £25.8m

Groupe SEB new logistics hub

Groupe SEB will open a new 100,000 m² logistics platform, within the Alouette business park in Bully-Les-Mines (France), investing 80 million euro. Operated by FM Logistic, long-standing partner of the Group, this platform will enable the creation of 350 jobs between 2023 and 2025, with the ambition of reaching a staff of 500 people by 2030.
