Whirlpool of India led the domestic appliance market in India with net sales of about 62 billion Indian rupees as of December 2022. It was closely followed by Crompton Greaves and Electronics Mart India at 58 and 54.5 billion rupees respectively. Both Crompton Greaves and Electronics Mart India are Indian companies.

Whirlpool of India Limited is one of the leading manufacturers of major home appliances in India, headquartered in Gurugram. It is a subsidiary of the Whirlpool Corporation from USA. It has three manufacturing facilities in India, located in Faridabad, Pondicherry, and Pune. It primarily manufactures and sells refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwave, and other small appliances. Its main competitors in the major appliances segment are Korean electronics companies, Samsung, and LG. In the small appliances segment, it also faces competition from Indian manufacturers.

Refrigerator market in India

In 2022, LG was the leader in the Indian refrigerator market with more than 30 percent of the market share. Whirlpool ranked the third following Samsung. It was estimated that the market size of refrigerators was around 9.7 billion U.S. dollars during the same year. The prospect of this segment is of great potential in India, especially considering the increasingly hot summers due to global climate change

Haier Europe warehouse

Haier Europe announce the opening of our new warehouse in Germany As part of the future growth plans, Hairer have established a new warehouse in Wörnitz, which is our second logistics platform after the first one in Ansbach.

The new warehouse spans over 40,000 square meters and is a significant milestone in our journey to become the first consumer choice for smart home solutions in all the markets across Haier Europe.

With these two facilities, they have created ample storage space to ensure that we can continue to serve our customers quickly and satisfactorily.

Buram Electro will be called Liebherr Appliances Netherlands from 2024

As of January 12, 2023, Buram Electro BV has been integrated as an official subsidiary of Liebherr Hausgeräte GmbH. This step follows a long-term, successful exclusive collaboration on the Dutch market. This collaboration has recently been further strengthened, with the main aim of increasing the satisfaction of our customers and further strengthening our brand value.

As of December 30, 2023, Buram Electro BV will merge with Liebherr Appliances Netherlands BV through a legal merger. All current agreements of Buram Electro BV will be transferred unchanged to Liebherr Appliances Netherlands BV as of the aforementioned date. This is a logical step for us to further strengthen the brand and to secure long-term value creation for all parties involved in the Dutch market.

Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation (GDHV) and RKW Ltd announce agreement transfer of Redring and Burco water heating brand

Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation, a leader in electrical HVAC solutions, and RKW, a leading European distributor and manufacturer of domestic appliances, are pleased to announce an agreement that will see the transfer of the renowned water heating brands, Redring and Burco.

This agreement aligns to both company’s strategies with GDHV’s ongoing commitment to focussing on their portfolio of brands and technologies in the electric heating and ventilation categories, and RKW’s continued expansion plan into new product categories that complement core operations.
