The flexibility of the Infinite Cooking range proves incredibly helpful in a wide array of daily situations. Wi-Fi capabilities and a compatible smartphone app offer even greater ease of use, providing remote oven monitoring and control,” says Nick Bevan Head of Product Management for Digital Appliances. The Combi-Hob, also featured in the range, similarly blends unrivalled functionality with high end design. Tecnoinox obtained the SASO Quality Mark

Italian company Tecnoinox, that since 1984 has been designing and manufacturing equipment for the professional kitchen is the first Italian manufacturer in its sector to obtain the Quality Mark certification by SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization , government certification body of Saudi Arabia). Thanks to this certification the company’s models can enter to the Saudi Arabia, enforcing its presence and dedication in the Middle Eastern market. All the over 200 products selected from the Tecnoinox catalog and subjected to analysis have been approved. «During 2019 – Riccardo Giacomini, Tecnoinox Technical Director said – the government technical body of the Saudi Arabia Kingdom, SASO, introduced the Quality Mark certification obligation to regulate the entry of gas equipment into the country. It was a complex, extremely rigorous certification process that Tecnoinox has fully passed, standing out first in the national panorama for quality and ability to respond to the needs of markets that are changing and evolving.»
Martina Giacomini, Commercial Director of Tecnoinox, also expresses her satisfaction: «we are already present in many markets in the Middle East and it is strategic for us to complete consolidate the commercial relationships in Saudi Arabia. The high quality of the processes, products and staff has allowed Tecnoinox to obtain certification before any other Italian manufacturer and therefore, from today, is the only Italian manufacturer of professional gas cooking equipment authorized to export to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.»
The new version of Erika by ARAN Cucine will be displayed at EuroCucina 2020
The Erika kitchen, a best seller of ARAN Cucine, has been restyled for the next edition of EuroCucina. The brand has followed the the latest furnishing trends, that suggest functional and versatile solutions, clean and reassuring lines, neutral and elegant colors. To meet all tastes and respond to different market needs, ARAN Cucine offers customizable models, capable of adapting to any living context. Erika catalog, in fact, is enriched with new elements, transforming the model into a real ‘furniture system’, with modular solutions and over 41 finishes.
A composition designed to facilitate the movements of those who live it and ensure maximum space optimization without sacrificing design, provides a large multipurpose island, columns and shoulder system. To create a game of full and empty volumes, the large and capacious storage elements alternate with open, decorative and immediately accessible modules. The Jhon doors in black aluminum with gray smoked glass visually lighten the structure of the island block, equipped with the new Move-it snack: a mobile top that slides along the diagonal and that can be a dining table and then be brought back flush with the island, limiting its size.
But the big news is the introduction of elements with soft and circular lines. The more sinuous version of Erika is in fact characterized by creative and ergonomic solutions: the rigorous design of the columns – with the new vertical handle – and the wall units combined with the Fill bookcase harmonize with the curved peninsula.

A new way to access the cooker oven

With the designer Wesley Mendez, Whirlpool redesigns the way the oven door opens on the company’s new freestanding range platform: not downward but to the side. What resulted is an optional side-swing door on a new 30-inch freestanding range. Mendez, who is based at Whirlpool Corporation’s Global Consumer Design Offices in Mexico, said the distinctive feature evolved after seeing data indicating a shift in consumer buying behavior in Latin American countries. In response to growing interest in using the oven on a freestanding range and meeting consumers’ changing needs, Mendez said he and his team created a new solution to make the oven cavity more inviting for consumers. “We thought it would be more approachable if we changed the way the door opens – Mendez explained -. Like a refrigerator, when you open the door, it’s a welcome for the consumer. You can get really close and you can have complete control of what happens in the rack”. The challenge of redesigning the oven door was then posed to Whirlpool Corporation’s Global Product Development team. “We had to translate a high-level concept to a manufacturable design”, said Ramiro Ruthes, Whirlpool Corporation System Integrator Leader for Freestanding Ranges. He led fellow engineers in the construction of a new door that is able to swing more than 100 degrees from the opening of the cavity. He explained the door also includes a step on the hinge to hold it clear of consumers while they’re accessing the oven. “One of the main requirements was to develop the side-swing door using the same product platform and most of the parts of the current drop-down door”, Ruthes said. Reengineering the oven door wasn’t the only focus for the Whirlpool teams behind the new freestanding range. They also improved the ergonomics and finishes of the handles and knobs. The burners are more efficient and the grates have been strengthened. Whirlpool introduced the side-swing feature to markets in Mexico in the third quarter 2019. Additional rollout is planned in Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia as well as markets in Central America and the Caribbean in the first quarter 2020.

Gaggenau and Raymond Blanc renew their partnership

Raymond Blanc has renewed his partnership with Gaggenau to upgrade the kitchen in the Raymond Blanc Cookery School with new appliances. Raymond handpicked cooktops and ovens from the company 400 series. Set in a picturesque 15th century manor in rural England, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons has become a culinary destination for gourmands the world over, with diners at the restaurant also having the option to stay in one of the manors 32 individually designed hotel rooms. Raymond Blanc opened the restaurant 35 years ago, earned two Michelin stars upon opening and has retained them ever since. He also created the Raymond Blanc Cookery School and Gardening School, with the cookery school located just across the corridor from the bustling restaurant kitchen.
“Similarly to us – Gaggenau explays in a press realise – Raymond Blanc promotes sustainable produce and ethical farming. He ensures that these methods are used to create dishes which enrich the palate of every diner. This has meant that the menu at Le Manoir celebrates a field to fork ethos, with much of the organic produce on the menu being harvested daily from the beautiful kitchen gardens. This ethos is also carried through to the Raymond Blanc Cookery School, where guests on the course are shown how to make the most of every ingredient, lowering the chance of waste.” Raymond makes a conscious effort to stay abreast of trends in the culinary world, especially ones which make an impact on the environment. When Le Manoir initially opened 35 years ago, Raymond offered a five and seven course vegetarian menu, which at the time was not popular amongst the restaurant patrons. However, as diners are now considering how the planet is affected by what is on their plate, the demand for vegetarian menus at Le Manoir has risen dramatically.

LG pushes built in appliances

LG Electronics Inc. is ramping up investment to expand businesses in the built-in home appliance market to capitalize on the fast growing segment, its president said on Sunday.

Song Dae-hyun, the head of LG’s home appliance and air solution division, said the company aims to become a “top-tier” player in the global built-in home appliance market by 2023.

“We have been focusing on establishing the organization and infrastructure for (the built-in business) since last year, though sales still remain small,” Song said in a press briefing held on the sidelines of the IFA technology show in Berlin.

“Expanding the built-in business takes time and enormous upfront investment because it also involves house designing and remodeling.”

Although the Korean electronics maker still lags behind European built-in industry leaders with long traditions and established customer bases, Song said LG has been expanding its presence in the key market with differentiated customer service.

“After-sales service for built-in products is challenging because (engineers) have to disassemble parts for repairing,” Song said.

“We tell customers that they can get service whenever they need, which helped our business grow rapidly.”

Song also vowed to step up connectivity of different gadgets, using artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, to lead the promising smart home market, stressing the firm’s broad portfolio, ranging from home appliances to smartphones.

“A growing number of European companies are adopting IoT and AI (in home appliances),” the president said.

“I think LG has a more solid technological base (than them) and is well positioned to succeed in the European market.”

As part of the broader plan, LG introduced “Proactive Customer Care” at IFA, which features AI monitoring compatible appliances for potential problems like abnormal temperature and air flow.

The firm said it plans to roll out the AI care service on new front-loading washers and bottom-freezer refrigerators in Europe first, and bring them to North America and Asia next year.

KitchenAid Chef Touch

KitchenAid Chef Touch includes vacuum machine, steam oven and blast chiller. The latter has 3 functions and is equipped with a special option which, if the cooling cycle ends but there was no possibility of immediately removing the food, allows you to automatically set the “fridge” or “freezer” mode to maintain a low and constant temperature.

Miele Generation 7000

The Generation 7000 range is the new generation of built-in kitchen appliances, that renew the previous range of the German company. The collection includes ovens, hob units, steam ovens, coffee machines and dishwashers. Generation 7000 features four new design lines and are equipped with smart assistants on board, including a camera in the oven or a system to prevent roasts from becoming too dry. Several machines even pre-empt the user’s next actions. The new range comes under starter’s orders in May 2019.
Looking at the aesthetical choices, Miele proposes PureLine, VitroLine, ArtLine and ContourLine design variants: PureLine offers a modern, contemporary appeal, with its solid handle, low-key stainless-steel trim and a glass front in obsidian black. VitroLine underlines its reserved and integrating style with a handle in appliance colour, and ArtLine with its minimalistic approach dispenses with a classical door handle altogether. The VitroLine and ArtLine design lines with their reduced all-glass fronts are available in graphite grey, brilliant white and obsidian black. In contrast, ContourLine relies heavily on its striking stainless-steel frame.
In terms of functions and technologies, instead, Generation 7000 by Miele offers intuitive operating steps and processes. The intuitive handling is further supported by Miele with MotionReact: when required, Miele appliances are able to pre-empt the user’s next moves and automatically switch on when the user approaches, activating the oven lighting or deactivating the ringtone at the end of a programme.
