“We are proud to present a sharpened and more contemporary AEG brand,” says Tom Astin, AEG Brand and Strategy Director. “Our consultations with consumers, together with strong product innovations, have been translated into a bolder and progressive expression – through visual and sound – with a world where distinctive characters play a central role alongside a color scheme that sets AEG apart from its competitors. The evolved color palette pays homage to our beginning as a brand back in 1887 by continuing to use red, but now sees the application of darker hues to create more cut-through and distinction. This is a modern update that strongly conveys our premium position in the market.”

Under its premium brand AEG, it will be unveiling the biggest kitchen launch ever, including AI-assisted cooking for the first time. The new AEG Kitchen Range will be officially revealed at the AEG Media Conference at IFA on 5th September.
“What better place than Berlin – the birthplace of AEG, where it all started almost 140 years ago – to launch our biggest and best kitchen range yet,” says Anna Ohlsson-Leijon, CEO Business Area Europe APMEA & Group Executive VP, Electrolux Group. “The new AEG Kitchen Range is designed to meet the growing demand for premium experiences in today’s market. And it’s perfectly timed: consumers are increasingly looking for high-quality, personalized and sustainable solutions when cooking at home – and our new range delivers just that.”
AEG’s most significant full kitchen launch to date The new AEG Kitchen Range includes solutions in every product category, including ovens, hobs, hoods, refrigeration and dishwashers. Designed for consumers who want to take their cooking skills further, the new range is packed with smart technology including AI TasteAssist, a new cutting-edge function that has been developed to help consumers make the most of their oven when trying new recipes.
Research reveals that 80% of consumers search online for recipes [1], and many are unsure how to use their oven effectively. AI TasteAssist bridges this gap. By simply sending the recipe to the oven, the feature analyzes it to understand a number of key facets including timing, temperature and protein type. AI TasteAssist then automatically selects the optimal cooking settings.
The new Kitchen Range also features CookSmart Touch Display – an intuitive interface that guides users through every step of the cooking process. For the first time, CookSmart Touch provides a seamless experience across ovens, hobs, and built-in coffee machines. A new Assisted Dishes function gives step-by-step guidance on how to cook a complete dish to perfection plus, it can also guide the user as to which accessories to use and the steps to be taken. CookSmart Touch on hobs, as with ovens, empowers the user with full and effortless control over the cooking experience. At the touch of a finger, consumers can easily access Assisted Cooking and effortlessly delegate boiling or assign pan-frying. Sous-vide, simmering and melting modes are also available. Also on show at this year’s IFA will be the latest range of award-winning [6], smart laundry appliances from the Electrolux brand. The new range includes washers, washer dryers and tumble dryers with energy-saving features designed to make clothes last longer and reduce the use of resources.
In the Wellbeing innovation area, both AEG and Electrolux will be revealing new full ranges of cordless cleaners, offering enhanced power, greater versatility, and effortless ease of use.
Extending clothing life presents the single largest opportunity to reduce the carbon, water and waste footprints of clothes. Published recently by Electrolux The Truth About Laundry Report are the findings of our seven-year, science-led research program focused on extended clothing life which shows that choosing lower temperatures and shorter cycles can length the lifespan of clothes by more than 50%.
For example, a cotton T-shirt washed at 30°C for 59 minutes will last over 50% longer than if it’s washed on a regular 40°C cycle which can last up to 120 minutes, if not longer.

According to our consumer study into microplastics and laundry**, part of the problem is a lack of understanding of what ‘synthetic’ means, with 94% of all adults not knowing how much plastic is in clothes. Our study found 68% of European adults were unaware that Nylon is a plastic fiber while 62% did not know Polyester, the world’s commonly used fiber, is plastic.
With the launch of the Microplastic Filter, we can help consumers reduce their own environmental impact when it comes to clothing care. We estimate that the new filter for washing machines can help prevent up to two plastic bags worth of microplastic fibers from being released from laundry, per household, every year. The filter, designed to fit on the laundry wall and made from 50% recycled plastic, works with both Electrolux and AEG washing machines.

All new Electrolux and AEG washing machines ranges in Europe from Series 7 and above are equipped with a steam program. In APAC & MEA, select washing machine ranges are now equipped with steam programs to sanitize or refresh clothes, and machines in North America and Latin America are equipped with steam programs to remove dirt and tough stains from fibers.
As Electrolux explains, functions such as SteamCare and ProSteam use over 96% less water and 30% less energy compared to a complete washing cycle. The gentle SteamCare program – said Calina Gavril, Care Experience Marketing Director for Electrolux Group – enables consumers to quickly refresh one or two garments at a time, such as a blouse or shirt. In 25 minutes, gentle steam removes creases, odors and restores that newly washed feeling to even delicate garments. Our consumer research – adds Isabell Foyer, European Category Manager, Washing Machines – consistently shows that steam is one of the most appreciated functions, and that it continues to have high consumer appeal. Changing laundry behavior takes time, but we are seeing more consumers changing their laundry behavior to reduce their environmental impact and costs, particularly in light of higher energy prices.
