From April 16th to 21st, in the heart of Milan’s green quarter, Portanuova, the Electrolux EcoLine Hub will emerge as a unique space where education meets inspiration. More than a mere exhibition, the Electrolux EcoLine Hub will offer a fully immersive experience designed to enlighten visitors on the simplicity and significance of practices that can help them live more sustainably at home.

Through this initiative, Electrolux aims to stimulate a broader dialogue on the topic. The Electrolux EcoLine Hub also includes an exhibition of products that are part of the Electrolux EcoLine range – a selection of our most energy efficient kitchen and laundry appliances, designed to help the user make better choices every time they use them.

UL Solutions Inc., is a leading global safety science company that evaluates hundreds of marketing claims each year, and one of their services, the UL Verified IoT Device Security Rating process verifies smart home devices for hacking risks and security levels. The Bespoke 4-Door Flex™ Refrigerator with AI Family Hub™+ became the first in the home appliance industry to gain the ‘Diamond’ level, and other Family Hub models and the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo™ AI also achieved the same verification.

Hitachi Home Appliances relaunched in the Philippines

Beko Philippines is excited to announce that it will now oversee the distribution and after-sales services for Hitachi branded home appliances in the Philippine market. Beko Philippines will directly coordinate with Arçelik Hitachi Home Appliances, a joint venture between Arçelik and Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc., established in July 2021, responsible for manufacturing, selling, and servicing Hitachi branded home appliances worldwide (excluding Japan). This transition aims to ensure uninterrupted supply and enhanced services of Hitachi branded Home Appliances products for customers in the Philippines.

Dreamy unveil its new product

Robot home appliance brand “Dreamy” announced on the 28th that it will unveil its new product “L10s Heat”The “L10s Heat” is equipped with a hot water cleaning function, which automatically cleans the wet mop with 58 º C hot water and dries it with 45 º C hot air, and prevents mold and odor with an automatic wet mop cleaning and drying system. In addition, the wet mop area is extended to 2mm of corners, allowing clean cleaning without missing out.

LG will invest 100 trillion won (74 billion dollars) in R&D

LG announced the most massive investment program in its history: a 100 thousand billion won (74.5 billion dollars) which will be dedicated, between now and 2028, to the development and implementation of the most advanced technologies: Artificial Intelligence first and foremost as well as batteries, new generation screens, biotechnology and ‘green’ technologies The message shared by LG Corporation Vice President Kwon Bong-seok and Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo does not specify how the investments will be allocated among the various subsidiaries of the group but specifies that they will largely be concentrated in South Korea.

Chinese firms target Korea with premium home appliances

Chinese home appliance manufactures such as Haier, Midea, and Xiaomi have  begun retailing their products on South Korea’s largest online marketplace, Coupang, and offer after-sales service (AS) through the platform. Additionally, China’s Roborock led the domestic robot vacuum cleaner market last year with its product priced over 1.6 million won. Once perceived as “cheap” and budget-friendly, Chinese home appliances are now targeting the Korean market few years ago, Chinese electronics sold in Korea mainly consisted of small appliances like humidifiers and hair dryers, or low-cost imitations of premium products. Recently, however, premium items such as robot vacuum cleaners, high-end TVs, and refrigerators have emerged in the local market. The design and quality of these products are reported to be on par with Korean and Japanese counterparts, posing a significant threat to Korean companies’ premium offerings. A senior appliance company official noted that Chinese products are also aggressively entering the global premium market, utilizing a strategy similar to the approach South Korea once employed to catch up with Japanese appliance
