CIH, part of Euronics, Europe’s largest electrical buying organisation, has announced that Paul Tyler will be the new chief executive of the company, starting on January 11 2022.
He joins from the BSH Home Appliances Group, where he has worked as channel director, retail and consumer products (CP) for the past 11 years, including periods spent as sales director for Siemens, and sales and marketing director for Gaggenau.
Prior to that, Mr Tyler was at Miele for 21 years, leaving as sales director in 2010. He is an experienced leader with extensive sales and marketing expertise, a comprehensive knowledge of the domestic appliance market and independent retailing

The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers today announced that longtime President and CEO Joseph M. McGuire will retire pending a national search for his replacement. McGuire will remain at the AHAM helm until at least May 2022.

Chinese home appliances and electronics giant Haier Group issued an announcement on Friday that Zhang Ruimin, the firm’s 72-year-old founder, volunteered not to participate in the nomination of new directors at the staff meeting.
It is reported that a new management committee and board of directors have been selected at this meeting. The new board of directors invited Zhang Ruimin back as an Honorary Chairman, elected Zhou Yunjie as Chairman and appointed him as CEO, also appointing Liang Haishan as President.
Public information shows that Zhou Yunjie graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in July 1988, and later joined Qingdao Refrigerator General Factory, the predecessor of Haier Group, in July of the same year. After years of career development, he served as Vice Chairman of the company board of directors and as President of Haier Group since 2016.

Fagor domestic appliances has signed a sponsorship agreement with Atlético de Madrid and its women’s team. The pioneer brand in Spain with more than 65 years of experience, thus becomes the new club sponsor for this season and the next three.
The presentation ceremony for this new commercial agreement took place at the Wanda Alcalá de Henares Sports Center. At the event were present, Lola Romero, director of the Feminine, the players Deyna and Ludmila, and Vicente Sánchez, general director of Fagor Electrical Appliance.
Lola Romero welcomed her new partners: “For our club, the union of this new sponsor with our first team represents the best synergy that can be found with an innovative brand such as Fagor.”

Beko US has named Zach F. Elkin as president, to direct the expansion of the company’s home appliance brands in North America. Hasan Ali Yardimci, who led the company since its 2016 entry into the US market, was appointed to oversee Arçelik’s Beko Electronics España operations in Spain, Portugal, and South America.
The new president comes from a long career in the top management of important home appliances companies: he was US general manager of Signature Kitchen Suite® at LG Electronics, Inc., reinvigorating the company’s luxury kitchen appliance category. Previously, he held leadership positions at Sears Holdings and Bosch Siemens Home Appliances Corporation, where he was credited with transforming the Thermador® and Gaggenau® brands in the US. A leader in the industry for more than 25 years, Elkin is well known for using innovative marketing, product design, and positioning strategies to build global businesses and brands.
