Diego Perrone new cooling product line leader for Haier Europe
Diego Perrone has been named new cooling product line leader of Haier Europe. He joins Haier Europe’s senior leadership team and will report directly to CEO Yannick Fierling. Diego Perrone will be responsible for all business decisions related to the cooling product line, executing Haier Europe’s long-term strategy focused on zero distance to customer, IoT & ecosystem and premiumness.
He will also manage the product leadership roadmap to reach all market segments and customers, in line with Haier Europe’s vision to be the first consumer choice in smart home solutions. «In his new role – the company explains – Perrone will coordinate the product line teams to provide the best consumer solutions for food management, thanks to efficient preservation technologies, disruptive design and full IoT integration and take the cooling category to leadership in Europe in the coming five years».

New Whirlpool UK MD
Whirlpool UK Appliances Limited, the home of Hotpoint, has announced the appointment of Lena Henry as Managing Director, UK and Ireland.
Lena is a highly experienced Managing Director with expertise in leading complex business initiatives across a multitude of markets, both mature and emerging. Beginning her career at McKinsey & Company, a global management consultancy firm, Lena advised several leading and internationally recognised businesses on commercial and operational matters across a variety of product categories, with a focus on consumer and retail industries.
Lena then joined Essilor, the world leader in ophthalmic optics, where she worked her way through the ranks until taking on her most recent role with the company as Managing Director, Essilor France. During her time at Essilor, Lena oversaw corporate strategy, including the implementation of commercial initiatives, in addition to leading greenfield e-commerce launches on a global scale.
Combining a wealth of knowledge across a variety of markets, with experience across both consultancy and client-focused roles, Lena also brings a strong educational background to her new role at Whirlpool UK. In addition to receiving Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering and Structural Engineering and Mechanics of Materials, Lena obtained an MBA in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Jon White promoted to Managing Director of the Lincat Group
Jon White has been appointed as the new MD for the Lincat Group, the UK manufacturer of the Lincat, FriFri, IMC and Britannia brands. Jon who previously held the role of Technical Director succeeds Chris Jones following his promotion to European Group President of Middleby Worldwide in late 2019.
Changes in the Electrolux management
Anna Ohlsson-Leijon has been named as new chief commercial officer and head of the new Commercial & Consumer Journey Organization of Electrolux. The Business Area heads responsible for Europe, North America, APAC&MEA and Latin America will report to Anna Ohlsson-Leijon in the role of chief commercial officer for the Group.
The new Commercial & Consumer Journey Organization will focus on commercial growth and consumer journey development and lead business execution across the four Business Areas. «We’re now taking the next steps to move even closer to the consumer and making the ownership of our products into an outstanding lifetime consumer experience – says Electrolux President & CEO Jonas Samuelson -. By getting organized globally around the consumer journey we can better leverage our scale on how a consumer buys an appliance, how we get them onboarded to connecting and using it and strengthen our aftermarket products and services offering.»
Chris Braam, currently head of sales business Area Europe, has been appointed head of business area Europe, succeeding Anna Ohlsson-Leijon in her current role.

Dr. Matthias Metz to become new CEO of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH
Dr. Matthias Metz (51) will take over as CEO of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH. In this capacity, he will be responsible for the global business of the home appliance manufacturer with more than 62,000 employees and a global production network of 40 factories worldwide. Metz is currently leading the Consumer Markets Segment at ZEISS Group and brings many years of international expertise in branded consumer business to BSH
Matthias Metz, currently a member of the Executive Board of ZEISS Group, will move to Europe’s leading home appliance manufacturer as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Management on October 1, 2022
Metz will take over the CEO role currently held on an interim basis by BSH CFO Dr. Gerhard Dambach
