The new LG Electronics television campaign dedicated to the world of Side by Side LG InstaView refrigerators kicked off this week .
The television campaign is part of a broader communication campaign , which will also have variations on digital and social platforms, aimed at consolidating brand and product awareness.
The campaign is developed around the concept ” LG InstaView: the refrigerator made to look inside ” which refers to the peculiarity of the InstaView technology which allows, with two simple touches of the hand on the darkened glass panel, to look inside the refrigerator without having to open, thus avoiding unnecessary dispersion of cold air which is the basis of poor food preservation. This useful function was created precisely to deal with a very widespread habit: opening the refrigerator door and keeping it open for a long time while waiting to check its contents, decide what to eat, which foods to buy… that is, the bad habit created basically by the protagonist of the commercial, filmed while, motionless, he stares at the inside of the refrigerator without being able to make a decision

Bosch @IFA2023

The healthy refrigerator
Bosch raises the standard for new refrigerators – upwards and outwards. One of the producer’s visions is to reduce food waste.
Bosch took us into the laboratory and the dreams of the white goods of the future.
The German manufacturer Bosch raises the standard for refrigerators. An XL refrigerator must in future be 194 centimeters high and 77 centimeters wide. It creates, depending on the consumer’s choice of model, between 21 and 45% more “useful content” in the fridge.
Bosch states that more than 50% of consumers today declare themselves “very interested in healthy nutrition and healthy foods”. Bosch has translated this statement into a “healthy refrigerator”, where bio-based plastics and simpler, lighter components are already used in the production phase, saving 33% of materials already in production.

In addition, the XL fridge is a weapon in the fight against food waste: a less crowded fridge automatically means more order, more overview and less food waste.

Bosch presented figures showing that 22% of consumers today already have connected, “smart” appliances. Bosch sees connectivity and artificial intelligence as the very key to sustainability:

“Take auto-dispensing detergent as an example. Auto-dos saves 38% of detergent compared to when people dose themselves. Add to that that a mini-wash saves approx. 50% water compared to a normal wash. It is precisely the smart products and the human consideration that can lead us to the sustainable use of white goods”, said de.t

34% of German consumers emphasize that white goods are smart when making new purchases. More than 40% are willing to pay more for smart devices.

Bosch develops most of its new products in Germany, which is naturally emphasized in an IFA context, where the large audience is German. But the manufacturer also had concrete news from the local development laboratories: from 2024 all Bosch washing machines are in energy class A.

Not only Bosch delivers here. I wonder if we are moving towards a new rescaling of the pan-European energy labels
