Whirlpool Corporation announces

Whirlpool Corporation announced today that João Carlos Costa Brega, Executive Vice President, Whirlpool Corporation, and President, Whirlpool Latin America, will be stepping down from his role as part of a long-term succession plan, effective March 31, 2023.

Juan Carlos Puente, currently Senior Vice President, Whirlpool Corporation, and President, Whirlpool Latin America North Region, will succeed Brega, effective April 1, 2023.

Fabrizio Ghisla named general manager of Emc Fime (Elica Group)

Elica, the Italian producer of kitchen hoods and extraction systems nominated Fabrizio Ghisla as general manager of Emc Fime, European company in the design and production of electric motors for household appliances and heating boilers, which has also entered the hydrogen market this year with its Premix fan line.

Thanks to his proven experience, Fabrizio Ghisla will lead the company towards its 2023 objectives, which include an expansion programme of the “Hydrogen Ready” product range and an acceleration in the heat pump segment. According to Elica, the innovative projects and investments will allow Emc Fime to have an increasingly and complete range of products.

Fabrizio’s appointment as general manager of Emc Fime – commented Giulio Cocci, chief executive officer of Elica – will drive the growth strategy of the Engine Division of Elica Group and the development of projects of fundamental and strategic importance:

De Longhi appointment

The Board of Directors of De’ Longhi SpA has approved the appointment of Nicola Serafin as General Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer Fabio de’ Longhi, thus completing the search process for a candidate for the role of Chief Executive Officer.

In the new position, which will take effect from 1 January 2023, Nicola Serafin will have ordinary administration powers for the management of the Group.

Nicola Serafin joined the De’ Longhi Group in 2000 after experiences in Danieli SpA and in the Benetton Group. Graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering and with an Executive Master in Business Administration at the London Business School, Nicola Serafin held roles with increasing responsibilities in the technical and production fields until his appointment in September 2016 as Chief Operating and Technology Officer, across the entire R&D, supply chain, manufacturing and logistics platform, as well as being a member of the boards of directors of various Group companies. Dr. Alexander Dony and Rudolf Klötscher Appointed to Board of Management of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH

Dr. Alexander Dony and Rudolf Klötscher will join the Board of Management of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH. Dony will be Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, in charge of the Greater China and North America regions, marketing including BSH’s brand portfolio, and the Consumer Products business. Klötscher will be Chief Sales & Service Officer, with responsibility for the Emerging Markets and Europe regions, along with Customer Service.
Dony and Klötscher succeed Chief Markets Officer Matthias Ginthum, who has decided to retire effective March 31, 2023, after ten very successful years on the board. He will also resign from the board at that time.
