Gree Electric Appliances: Net Profit Reaches 29.017 CNY Billion in 2023,

Gree Electric Appliances disclosed its annual report for 2023. The report reveals that in 2023, Gree Electric Appliances achieved an operating income of CNY 203.979 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.93%. The net profit attributable to the shareholders of the listed company reached CNY 29.017 billion, marking an 18.41% increase from the previous year Furthermore, during the reporting period, Gree Electric Appliances’ products were sold to more than 190 countries and regions, with overseas business achieving operating income of CNY 24.904 billion, and the proportion of independent brands accounting for nearly 70%, an 8% increase year-on-year.

Midea to acquire Arbonia HVAC businesses

Midea has agreed the €760m purchase of Swiss group Arbonia’s Climate Division, which includes HVAC businesses Sabiana, Termovent and Tecna.

The acquisition through Midea subsidiary Midea Electrics Netherlands BV follows an announcement by Arbonia at the end of February that it had received several “unsolicited expressions of interest” in purchasing its HVAC businesses

Beko launched its new air conditioners: the BEEPGH model from the EvolutioPro line and the BEHPG model from the Evolutio line, which are characterized by the control panel that becomes completely invisible when it is turned off. The EvolutioPro line is in energy efficiency class A+++ in cooling mode and A++ in heating mode, while the Evolutio line is in energy efficiency class A++ (cooling)/A+ (heating). Furthermore, EvolutioPro is also equipped with the UV-C light cleaning system (HygieneMax UVC) which eliminates pathogenic microorganisms, viruses and mold (that can form inside the split) and at the same time is able to purify the outgoing air from the air conditioner. Besides, the technologies used in the external units allow a wide operating range, with operation at certified performance up to external temperatures of +50° C in cooling mode. This year, the external units with certified heating performance up to temperatures of -20°C will be available.

Acer, known for its laptops, is launching a range of home appliances under a new brand, Acerpure, offering air purifiers, an air circulator and a vacuum cleaner with more products to follow Headlining the range is the Acerpure Pro UVC Air Purifier equipped with advanced UVC purifying technology and a four-in-one HEPA filter, providing a high CADR of 700m3/hour and coverage up to 116 square metres. A smart CO2 detection system constantly monitors air pollution in the area. Acerpure Clean Lite Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is designed for quick clean-ups with a 15-minute runtime, 13,000Pa suction and lightweight design at 550 grams. A triangular shaped brush design is specifically made for corners to ensure edge-to-edge cleaning. It comes with a range of brush accessories that can be switched at the push of a button. Norske Airthings is launching its first smart air purifier, Renew, at CES 2024.

According to the company, Renew will help the customer breathe and sleep better by improving the air quality in the room. The air purifier has a four-layer HEPA-13 filter that will remove 99.97 percent of particles, and a carbon filter that stops gas and odors. Airthings says Renew can clean the air in a typical bedroom in ten minutes, and is effective in rooms up to 50 square meters. In silent mode, it emits only 23 decibels, and by lowering the device with Airthing’s app, the user can monitor air quality from anywhere.
