On the occasion of Design Week 2025, the company is launching new induction hobs, including those with Metal Frames. They are frames available in 78 cm and 90 cm options. The end users can choose between different finishes (gold, carbon and stainless steel) and these variations allow them to find the solution that best suits their style and decor. They also guarantee aesthetic continuity with other Bertazzoni appliances.Bertazzoni has expanded its induction hob range with new Premium (60, 78, 90 cm) and Super Premium (78, 90 cm) models, offering advanced design and technology that enhance their existing lineup. These hobs feature minimalist aesthetics with hidden controls that disappear when off, ensuring a seamless integration into modern kitchens. User-friendly controls, especially the 7” full-color TFT display on select models, provide intuitive power adjustment and real-time heat monitoring.
Key features include Bertazzoni Assistant, a smart system with five automatic cooking programs: Keep Warm, Boil Water (with auto shut-off and water level alert for steaming), Steam Cooking, Pasta Cooking (managing temperature and timing), and Frying (maintaining optimal oil temperature). Additional technologies like Automatic Pan Recognition and Pot Transfer simplify cooking. Safety features include a safety lock, Pause & Resume mode, and an end-of-cooking timer.
Furthermore, Half-Bridge technology ensures even heat distribution for low-temperature cooking, while the 3.7 kW Boost function allows for rapid boiling. A low power mode (0.3 kW) maintains stable temperatures for extended cooking.

Samsung has launched its new Slim Combo and Washer models in the UK, focusing on energy efficiency, space saving, and smart connectivity. These appliances feature SpaceMax™ technology for a larger drum in a slimmer 480mm depth, saving 12.7% space compared to standard models while maintaining a 9kg capacity. AI Ecobubble™ ensures efficient cleaning, exceeding the A energy rating by up to 10% and improving stain removal and fabric care. SmartThings integration with AI Energy Mode allows users to monitor and reduce energy consumption by up to 70% on select cycles. Clothing Care on SmartThings provides personalized laundry recommendations based on usage, weather, and seasonality. The AI Wash feature intelligently optimizes water usage, and the Auto Dispense now offers a flex option for up to four different detergent types.

LG results

LG today announced its preliminary earnings results for the first-quarter of 2025, reporting a consolidated revenue of KRW 22.7 trillion and operating profit of KRW 1.3 trillion. This marks the first time LG’s first-quarter revenue has exceeded KRW 22 trillion the home appliance solution business, LG’s premium products maintained strong leadership in the global market. The built-in appliance business – a B2B segment – alongside key component sales such as motors and compressors, also contributed meaningfully to the performance.

The company’s subscription business, which combines hardware and services, is rapidly expanding. In 2025, LG plans to further strengthen its subscription-ready product lineup and customer care services, while also accelerating the global rollout of its subscription model.

AWE 2025

Leading global electronics giants Samsung and LG are showcasing their latest innovations at the Appliance and Electronics World Expo 2025 (AWE) in Shanghai. Samsung’s expansive 1,512-square-meter booth highlights its “AI for All” vision, presenting its Bespoke AI appliance lineup and interconnected scenarios. Key products include the new Bespoke AI hybrid refrigerator with a 9-inch screen and the Bespoke AI combo washer-dryer featuring a 7-inch display, both emphasizing AI-driven usability. Samsung is also introducing the space-saving Kitchen Fit Max refrigerator tailored for Chinese kitchens and other Bespoke appliances like a slim washing machine and the AI Steam floor cleaner.
LG Electronics, with its 1,104-square-meter exhibition under the theme “Affectionate Intelligence for Diverse Lifestyles,” is demonstrating its AI-centric home solutions. The LG ThinQ On, an AI home hub utilizing speech, action, and environmental recognition to manage connected devices, takes center stage. LG is also emphasizing its AI core technology integrated into appliances like AI DD washing machines and smart air conditioners.
