BSH Opens First Refrigeration Factory in Mexico

State-of-the-art production facility starts operations in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, after 18 months of construction
Home appliance manufacturer produces large double-door refrigerators for the North American market
BSH is investing around 220 million euros and plans to create around 1,500 skilled jobs in the region with the factory
Europe’s leading home appliance manufacturer, BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, is expanding its global production network and will be manufacturing in Mexico into the future. In Monterrey, in the state of Nuevo Leon, large double-door, so-called French Door Bottom Mount refrigerators are now coming off the production line. The appliances produced under the Bosch and Thermador brands are specially tailored to the needs of consumers in the North American market.

BSH UK PROFITS

BSH UK experienced a huge boost to its profits in the last financial year in spite of a decrease in its overall turnover figure.

In its 2022 accounts, just filed with Companies House, the appliance giant revealed that pre-tax profits were up by over 26% on the previous year to £30.2m.

This increase in profit is despite a slight fall in turnover to £811m, roughly 4.4% lower than the previous year.

On March 1, 1993, the German concern BSH (Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte Group), the largest manufacturer of home appliances in Europe, became a 100 % owner of Gorenje MGA.

Over 30 years, the company has undergone a radical transformation. At the time of the takeover, the factory employed 466 people and produced simple small motor-powered home appliances, clocks and wall scales. Today, the Nazarje plant (BSH Hišni aparati d.o.o. Nazarje) employs 1,800 people, including more than 250 engineers and is the most important small home appliance manufacturing plant in the BSH Group.

To our based home appliances producion they have added Premium appliances such as coffee, built-in coffee, cookit to the basic appliances, which play an important role in the smart kitchen for the future. In 30 years, the factory produced just under 153* million small household appliances (including the production plan for this year).

New hq for BSH Elettrodomestici Italy

BSH Elettrodomestici has a new headquarters. The Italian branch of BSH has moved to the via Marcantonio Colonna complex which houses the other branches of the Bosch group. The inauguration was attended by Enrico Hoffmann , CEO of BSH Elettrodomestici and the Chief Financial Officer Karsten Traeger Everything is declined in the BSH Corporate styling and colors with a strong presence of natural elements that recall the Group’s commitment to sustainability. The large break area, equipped with our appliances, is pleasantly convivial with conversation corners reserved and welcoming at the same time.
