LG UNVEILS ITS NEW BUILT-IN KITCHEN PACKAGE WITH “BETTER CULINARY LIFE FOR ALL” AT IFA 2023

Targeting the European Market, Company’s Built-in Kitchen Package Combines Energy-efficiency, Functionality and Seamless Design LG Electronics (LG) will introduce a “better culinary life for all” with the brand’s new built-in kitchen package at IFA 2023. Boasting energy efficiency, user-friendly features and elegant design, the full lineup comprises an InstaView™ oven, QuadWash™ dishwasher, downdraft induction hob, bottom-freezer refrigerator and microwave oven.The newly introduced built-in kitchen package bolsters LG premium product portfolio, which already included the ultra-premium Signature Kitchen Suite, and is expected to strengthen the company’s position in the European built-in market, and in the home appliance market as a whole. The company declared its vision last month with the plan to expand built-in home appliance markets in North America and Europe, which account for more than 70 percent of the global market and foster LG to become one of the top five built-in appliance brands.

LG InstaView Oven

Thanks to its enhanced insulators and optimized heating control, LG’s 24-inch oven achieves an A++ energy efficiency rating.[1] The new oven also has a four-layered glass door that minimizes heat loss and comes equipped with LG InstaView technology, which allows users to easily see inside without having to open the door.Moreover, LG’s InstaView oven seamlessly blends aesthetics with functionality, combining a refined, matte black finish with intuitive full-touch controls and an ergonomic handle. Leveraging the uniform heat and precise control of ProBake Convection™ technology, the oven can provide specialized cooking settings such as steaming, sous-vide, and air frying; making it simple for home chefs to serve up deliciously diverse culinary experiences. Cleaning the oven after use is even easier with LG’s EasyClean™, which removes the need for vigorous scrubbing and the use of chemicals. The company’s innovative, new oven is the winner of the 2023 iF Design Award and a 2023 Red Dot Award.

The LG QuadWash dishwasher offers an A energy efficiency rating[2], employing the company’s innovative Inverter Direct Drive Motor to optimize energy usage during every cycle.

LG Electronics (LG) is introducing the latest addition to its second-generation LG SIGNATURE lineup, the new Washer-Dryer with Heat Pump, at IFA 2023. Leveraging LG’s advanced heat pump technology, the new, space-efficient appliance delivers an effective washing and drying performance, gentle clothing care and an unparalleled one-stop laundry experience.

The stylish 27-inch Washer-Dryer with Heat Pump features LG SIGNATURE’s seamless, elegant design, and boasts ample room for getting clothes clean and dry with a 25-kg washing capacity, and 13-kg for drying. A genuine space-saver with a large capacity, LG’s washer-dryer also integrates the innovative TWINWash™ feature, a small washer located below the main drum that’s ideal for cleaning delicates or daily workout gear. The ability to wash and dry makes the company’s new all-in-one model especially suitable for homes and apartments where space is at a premium, and responds to the call from many consumers for a laundry solution that saves both time and space.

Samsung Launches Less Microfiber™ Filter that Moves Towards Protecting Oceans from Laundry Plastics

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of the new Less Microfiber™ Filter, an external washing machine filter designed to significantly reduce plastic microfiber emissions during laundry cycles. Designed with inspiration from apparel maker Patagonia and expertise from the global ocean conservation organisation Ocean Wise, the filter builds on the success of last year’s Less Microfiber™ Cycle to substantially cut microplastics and enable sustainable laundry washing that is both effective and effortless. The new filter is now available in Korea and the U.K., and will roll out to other countries in the third quarter.



“With microplastics emissions to our oceans continuing to increase and regulations being strengthened in many countries, as well as microplastics becoming a growing health concern for people everywhere, Samsung worked with Ocean Wise and Patagonia to engineer technology to help prevent the release of microplastics from our daily life,” said Moohyung Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of R&D Team of Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. “With innovations like the Less Microfiber™ Filter and Cycle, Samsung is helping to enable Everyday Sustainability in a wider array of products and making eco-conscious daily practices second nature in the home.”Samsung’s proprietary Ecobubble™ technology. By using bubbles to help dissolve and absorb detergent, less heat and energy is required to wash clothes, resulting in reduced abrasion.



The Less Microfiber™ Filter takes this a step further, preventing up to 98%[2] of microplastics released during laundry from escaping into the ocean if used as specified, equivalent to eight 500ml plastic bottles per year[3] when used four times a week. In addition, to help more customers get involved in cutting microplastic emissions, the Less Microfiber™ Filter has a mountable design style that allows it to be used with standard washing machine models, demonstrating the company’s dedication to long-term sustainability and helping customers move towards embrace sustainability at home. To verify the technology’s efficacy and its features, both Cycle and the Filter were independently evaluated by Ocean Wise using a peer-reviewed microfiber shedding test protocol at the marine organisation’s state-of-the-art lab in Vancouver, Canada.

Smeg has introduced the NovaCare laundry collection,The WNP84SECUK washing machine has a capacity of 8kg and a speed of 1400 rpm.

The WNP96SLAAUK and WNP96SEAUK washing machines have a capacity of 9kg and a speed of 1600 rpm. Both models have an A Class energy rating. The WNP96SLAAUK model also features Autodose technology, which automatically dispenses the right amount of detergent and softener for each load, ensuring optimal cleaning results and saving on detergent usage.
