Premium brand AEG 🏆 — not one but two of AEG’s dryers have taken the top spot in tests by Stiftung Warentest , Germany’s most trusted independent consumer testing authority. This double win puts AEG at the top of Stiftung Warentest’s laundry care rankings for the seventh time in just two years, a record no other home appliance brand has ever achieved.

Both the  8000 AbsoluteCare® Dryer (TR8T75789) and the 9000 AbsoluteCare®Plus Dryer (TR9M7680) share first place.

OPSS issues stop warning for 17,000 heat pump tumble dryer owners

If you have an integrated heat pump tumble dryer that has recently been modified by Haier, you must stop using it immediately because a fire risk still exists. Office for Product Safety and Standards have served Haier with an immediate ‘Requirement to Warn’ Notice, placing them under a statutory obligation to contact those owners who were part of the company’s recent Corrective Action Programme.  Brands involved include Candy, Baumatic, Caple, Haier, Hoover, Lamona, Iberna and Montpellier.https://www.gov.uk/government/news/opss-issues-stop-warning-for-17000-heat-pump-tumble-dryer-owners

New EU energy labeling for Tumble dryer

Important information for tumble dryer dealers 🚨 New EU energy labeling rules are coming 1 July 2025.

Here’s a quick rundown:

📌 From 1 March until 30 June 2025, suppliers will provide both the current and new energy labels
📌 Until 1 July 2025, display only the current label
📌 On 1 July 2025, you will have 14 working days to ensure that the current energy labels for tumble dryers are replaced with the new energy labels at all points of sale, physical and online.

Why this change? 🤔  The new label will help consumers make more informed purchasing choices, driving significant environmental impact. Bosch series 8 heat pump dryer

Bosch have launched its new Series 8 heat pump dryers, which reach the class A+++ -10% ensuring a high level of energy efficiency. The heat pump technology significantly reduces the environmental impact thanks also to the use of R290 propane gas. The self-cleaning condenser uses the condensation water produced during the drying in order to remove the lint that settles on it in each cycle and which, over time, tends to reduce the efficiency: this process is carried out for up to 4 times for each drying cycle, keeping the condenser constantly clean. The new models are equipped with advanced functions such as Iron Assist (a steam treatment that softens the garments, reduces the creases and refreshes clothes by removing the odors), Hygiene Plus (against germs, bacteria, mites and common allergens) and the option for reduced loads. Furthermore, with the Sheets program an alternating bidirectional rotation is carried out to avoid the tangling of the items: in this way large and small items can be dried together. The dryers can be connected to the Home Connect app which offers additional programs and constant software updates. Besides, with Smart Dry – thanks to the wireless technology and the Home Connect app – the washing machine sends the information of the last wash cycle to the dryer, such as the load quantity and the residual humidity: the dryer then automatically selects the most suitable drying program for the washed laundry
