Swedish home appliances maker Electrolux AB’s net profit plunged 81% to 257 million Swedish kronor ($25 million) in the second quarter of the year, due to supply chain disruptions, Barrons reported citing AFP. By contrast, second-quarter sales increased by 11 percent to 33.7 billion kronor, as higher selling prices offset the supply crunch.
Electrolux said it was still unable to meet demand, especially in its laundry and premium cooking segments.
