Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation (GDHV) and RKW Ltd announce agreement transfer of Redring and Burco water heating brand

Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation, a leader in electrical HVAC solutions, and RKW, a leading European distributor and manufacturer of domestic appliances, are pleased to announce an agreement that will see the transfer of the renowned water heating brands, Redring and Burco.

This agreement aligns to both company’s strategies with GDHV’s ongoing commitment to focussing on their portfolio of brands and technologies in the electric heating and ventilation categories, and RKW’s continued expansion plan into new product categories that complement core operations.

Please note that Glen Dimplex Ireland have a distribution agreement in place with RKW to continue to sell product on the Island of Ireland.

Swan UK takeover

Sutton Venture Group (SVG) has become the sole shareholder of Swan Products Limited, a small domestic appliances and housewares brand with a strong British heritage dating back to the 1920s.

Swan will be integrated into SVG’s trading division RKW, where it will benefit from the group’s centralised services and global infrastructure.

SVG Chairman Rob Sutton commented, “I am delighted to welcome Swan into the RKW family of Great British brands. RKW has been a key partner for Swan and the acquisition fits perfectly with our strategy of building British brands into major Global players through our international network of supply partners and customers.”

RKW creates 80 new jobs after securing eight-figure investment from HSBC

A company which designs, manufactures and sells domestic appliances for big-name brands is creating dozens of new jobs after securing an eight-figure funding package from HSBC.

RKW, the trading division of Sutton Venture Group, says the investment is being used to created 80 new roles at the business and turn its huge warehouse, based on Stone Business Park, into 24 hour operation

The family-owned company already employs more than 500 staff across three distribution centres, its Stoke-on-Trent headquarters in Fenton, and offices in Hong Kong, India and China.Established in 1989, RKW designs, manufactures and distributes small domestic appliances and housewares for leading brands including Black and Decker, Lavazza, Morphy Richards, Tower, Smeg, Swan, Russell Hobbs and Breville. It supplies leading UK retailers – including Next, Amazon, Tesco, Currys and Argos – from its Staffordshire distribution centre, while international customers are supplied directly from its offices in China.
