All new Electrolux and AEG washing machines ranges in Europe from Series 7 and above are equipped with a steam program. In APAC & MEA, select washing machine ranges are now equipped with steam programs to sanitize or refresh clothes, and machines in North America and Latin America are equipped with steam programs to remove dirt and tough stains from fibers.

As Electrolux explains, functions such as SteamCare and ProSteam use over 96% less water and 30% less energy compared to a complete washing cycle. The gentle SteamCare program – said Calina Gavril, Care Experience Marketing Director for Electrolux Group – enables consumers to quickly refresh one or two garments at a time, such as a blouse or shirt. In 25 minutes, gentle steam removes creases, odors and restores that newly washed feeling to even delicate garments.
Our consumer research – adds Isabell Foyer, European Category Manager, Washing Machines – consistently shows that steam is one of the most appreciated functions, and that it continues to have high consumer appeal. Changing laundry behavior takes time, but we are seeing more consumers changing their laundry behavior to reduce their environmental impact and costs, particularly in light of higher energy prices.

Smeg has introduced the NovaCare laundry collection,The WNP84SECUK washing machine has a capacity of 8kg and a speed of 1400 rpm.

The WNP96SLAAUK and WNP96SEAUK washing machines have a capacity of 9kg and a speed of 1600 rpm. Both models have an A Class energy rating. The WNP96SLAAUK model also features Autodose technology, which automatically dispenses the right amount of detergent and softener for each load, ensuring optimal cleaning results and saving on detergent usage.

The NovaCare collection also includes two tumble dryers, the DHT81EUK and DHT91EUK. Both models have a capacity of 8kg and 9kg and offer a range of drying programs to suit different fabrics and load sizes. The DHT91EUK has an A++ energy rating, while the DHT81EUK has an A+ rating.

Midea new front loading washing machine

Midea has unveiled a new front-loading washing machine, the V11F, which will go on sale May 10 for a starting price of $215 in China.

This washing machine is equipped with a 40°C prewash program that activates the enzymatic activity of the detergent to clean and remove stubborn stains, after which the 60°C main wash is completed.This washing machine is equipped with a variable speed BLDC motor and the washing/spinning noise level is: 52/70 dB. The machine is designed for washing 10 kg of laundry, there is a child lock, the possibility of adding laundry in the process and washing on a schedule.
