Teka Expands Beyond the Kitchen at IFA 2026 with New Appliance Categories

Teka is using IFA 2026 to showcase an expanding vision for the home, introducing new appliance categories while demonstrating how technology, design and connectivity can simplify everyday living.

The Spanish-headquartered brand is presenting its latest developments within the Midea Group exhibition space at Messe Berlin, under the concept “Meaningful Experiences Through Technology.”

For Teka, IFA represents more than a showcase for new products. The company is using the event to underline its evolution from a predominantly kitchen-focused appliance manufacturer into a broader home-appliance brand.

Teka joined Midea Group in 2025, and its presence at IFA 2026 forms part of the wider group’s multi-brand strategy, alongside Midea and German premium kitchen brand Küppersbusch.

From the kitchen to the wider home

The kitchen remains central to Teka’s identity, with the company continuing to develop its established cooking, refrigeration and dishwashing portfolio. However, IFA 2026 highlights a significant expansion into new areas of the home.

Among the new categories being presented are coffee machines, laundry appliances and air conditioning, giving Teka a broader proposition across the domestic environment.

The move reflects a wider industry trend towards brands offering consumers a more complete home-appliance ecosystem, rather than concentrating on individual product categories.

Teka enters the coffee machine market

One of the most prominent new areas at IFA is coffee.

Teka has created a dedicated Coffee Experience, allowing visitors to see its new machines operating and explore their features.

The Full Auto Coffee Machine uses a Thermoblock heating system and a 15-bar pump, with the ability to prepare seven different beverages at the touch of a button. Automatic rinsing and automatic cleaning of the milk circuit are designed to reduce the maintenance required from the user.

Coffee is also becoming an increasingly important category for Midea Group. Teka’s move into the sector therefore provides an opportunity to leverage the group’s wider manufacturing and technology capabilities while maintaining Teka’s emphasis on integrated kitchen design.

“Everything fits. At last.”

Another key IFA 2026 focus is Teka’s In-Line Series, developed around the idea of creating a more visually integrated home.

Under the slogan “Everything fits. At last,” the range brings together ovens, compact ovens, microwaves, washing machines, dishwashers and coffee machines within a coordinated design concept.

The appliances are designed to align more closely with surrounding cabinetry, reducing protrusions and visual interruptions.

For kitchen retailers and designers, this approach is significant as appliance integration increasingly becomes an important part of premium kitchen design. Rather than treating appliances as individual products, Teka is positioning them as part of a unified architectural environment.

Laundry becomes a new growth area

Laundry is another major element of Teka’s expanded portfolio.

The company’s new laundry solutions incorporate technologies intended to make washing more efficient while reducing the amount of intervention required from the consumer.

SmartWash automatically adjusts water and energy consumption according to the load, while FreshBreeze is designed to help reduce creasing, odours and static electricity.

LumiSoft focuses on fabric care, helping maintain softness and garment quality over repeated cycles.

Teka is also expanding its offering across different capacity and installation requirements. Its existing portfolio includes built-in and freestanding washing machines, washer-dryers and models featuring technologies such as inverter motors and automatic water regulation.

This gives the brand greater scope to address both traditional laundry areas and kitchens where appliances need to be integrated into cabinetry.

Expanding into air conditioning

Teka is also using its broader home proposition to enter air conditioning.

The company’s air-conditioning portfolio focuses on indoor comfort, energy efficiency and ease of operation, extending the brand into another area of the home traditionally outside its core kitchen positioning.

Existing Teka air-conditioning products include inverter technology, energy-saving modes and A++/A+ energy classifications, with some models offering low-noise operation.

The category also gives Teka an opportunity to benefit from Midea Group’s extensive expertise in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology.

A broader Midea Group strategy

Teka’s expansion needs to be viewed within the wider transformation of Midea Group’s European appliance portfolio.

At IFA 2026, Midea is presenting a broader connected-home proposition centred on technologies including SMART MASTER, AI ECOMASTER and SPACE MASTER, alongside scenario-based demonstrations covering areas such as cooking, laundry and climate control.

The group is positioning artificial intelligence and connected technology as tools for managing everyday household tasks, rather than simply as individual product features.

For Teka, the strategy provides access to the resources of one of the world’s largest appliance manufacturers while allowing the brand to retain its established European design identity.

From kitchen specialist to home-appliance brand

Teka’s IFA 2026 presence marks an important stage in that evolution.

The combination of cooking, refrigeration, dishwashing, coffee, laundry and air conditioning gives the company a substantially broader addressable market than its traditional kitchen appliance portfolio.

For retailers, the expansion could also create opportunities to develop Teka as a more comprehensive appliance partner, while for consumers the emphasis is increasingly on products that work together within a coherent home environment.

With its new categories, integrated design philosophy and backing from Midea Group, Teka is clearly signalling that its ambitions now extend well beyond the kitchen.
