Haier Europe has announced two management appointments as the company continues to strengthen its procurement and supply chain operations across the business.
Vadis Fredini has been appointed Head of Procurement, bringing considerable international experience to the role, particularly through his long-standing connections with China. Fluent in Chinese, Fredini has built his career in purchasing and procurement, previously working with Carraro Group, Candy and Haier Europe.
His experience across both European and Chinese business environments is expected to support Haier Europe’s supplier relationships and procurement strategy.
Paolo Villari has been appointed Head of Supply Chain and Transformation. A graduate in engineering from Naples, Villari joined Haier in 2018, having previously worked for CNH.
His new position combines responsibility for supply chain operations with the company’s wider transformation activities.
The appointments underline the importance Haier Europe places on procurement, supplier management and supply chain efficiency as it continues to develop its position in the European home appliance market.
For the wider appliance industry, effective procurement and supply chain management remain important factors in controlling costs, improving operational performance and maintaining competitiveness in an increasingly challenging market.
