Italian kitchen hood and cooking specialist Elica closed the first nine months of 2026 with consolidated revenues of €326.4 million, down 6.6% from €349.5 million in the same period of 2025. The decline reflects ongoing cautious consumer spending and softer demand across key markets. Yet the company delivered clearer progress on profitability.
Normalised EBITDA held steady at €21.8 million, but the margin improved from 6.3% to 6.7%. Normalised EBIT rose 4.7% to €4.9 million. Momentum was strongest in the third quarter, where normalised EBIT grew 14.6% and the EBITDA margin reached 7.1% — a 70 basis-point gain.
Own Brands Drive Growth in North America
The brighter spots came from Elica’s proprietary brands. These delivered double-digit organic growth in North America, while Europe remained broadly resilient. The OEM channel faced more pressure, particularly from destocking activity overseas. The Motors division also declined, with revenues down 13%.
“Improving profitability in this environment underlines the quality of our people and organisation,” said Executive Chairman Francesco Casoli. He reaffirmed the group’s strategic push toward a broader presence in the cooking category.
Investments and Balance Sheet
Capital expenditure rose to €12.3 million, focused on innovation and the transformation of the Cooking business. The normalised net financial position stood at –€62.1 million at the end of September, an improvement versus the June figure.
Elica continues to balance commercial development, industrial efficiency and brand strengthening in what remains a challenging market for white goods and kitchen appliances. The Q3 margin gains and North American brand performance offer encouraging signs that the company’s focus on higher-value, own-brand sales is beginning to pay off.
