Turkish appliance manufacturer Arçelik has reported a net loss of TRY 6.2 billion for the third quarter of 2026, alongside falling sales and lower profitability.
The Beko owner recorded revenue of TRY 139 billion for July to September, down 14% year on year from TRY 161.4 billion. Revenue was affected by weak demand, pricing pressure and challenging international market conditions.
EBITDA fell 47% to TRY 5.9 billion, compared with TRY 11.1 billion a year earlier, as operating expenses and wage inflation weighed on profitability.
Performance varied across regions. In Türkiye, white goods sales volumes increased by 16% during July and August, outperforming market growth of 7%. However, domestic revenue declined 4.5% to TRY 48.5 billion.
In Western Europe, continued price competition reduced the market’s value despite modest growth in sales volumes. Arçelik also faced weaker sales in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, although its Defy business increased euro-denominated revenue by 9.8% in Africa and the Middle East.
Full-year outlook reduced
Arçelik has lowered its 2026 expectations, citing weaker-than-expected demand, pricing pressure, higher operating costs and geopolitical tensions.
The company now expects its adjusted EBITDA margin to be between 5.75% and 6%, down from its previous forecast of 6.25% to 6.5%. Planned capital expenditure has also been reduced from around €250 million to €200–225 million.
The revised outlook highlights the continuing pressure on appliance manufacturers to protect margins in a competitive international market.
