Haier is set to put artificial intelligence at the centre of its IFA 2026 presence, as the appliance giant presents its vision of a more connected and intelligent home.
Taking place from September 4–8 in Berlin, Haier will exhibit under the theme “Home of Intelligent Possibilities”, showcasing AI-powered appliances, connected services and robotics at Hall 3.1, Stand 101.
The company says AI is moving beyond individual appliance features to become part of a wider home ecosystem. Visitors will see demonstrations covering laundry, refrigeration, cooking, dishwashing, cleaning, entertainment and digital services.
Among the highlights will be intelligent laundry systems capable of interpreting load conditions, refrigeration technology designed to improve food management and AI-assisted cooking that can recognise food and monitor the cooking process.
Haier’s hOn connected platform will also feature prominently, linking appliances, services and digital experiences through a single ecosystem.
Robotics and AI
Haier will also use IFA to showcase its developments in robotics and what it describes as “embodied intelligence”. These include humanoid robots designed to interact with people and appliances, cleaning and companion robots, as well as AI-powered exoskeletons intended to support human movement.
The company is also highlighting its global sports partnerships through its “Play with the Number Ones” concept, linking sporting performance with its wider innovation strategy.
Global technology, local innovation
A key message from Haier will be its approach to localisation. Rather than applying a single global product strategy, the company says it combines its international innovation resources with local R&D, manufacturing, marketing and consumer insights.
Haier currently says it serves more than 1 billion households across more than 200 countries and regions, while ranking among the top three home appliance brands in Europe. It also claims the No.1 position globally in major home appliances for 17 consecutive years, based on Euromonitor data.
Wang Meiyan, Vice President and Chief Brand Officer of Haier Group, said IFA provides an opportunity to demonstrate how global innovation can deliver practical benefits for consumers in different markets.
The company’s official IFA presentation will take place on September 3 at 3pm CEST, ahead of the show opening.
With AI, connected appliances and robotics becoming increasingly prominent across the home appliance sector, Haier’s IFA 2026 stand is set to provide an indication of how the company sees the next generation of intelligent living developing.
