LG Electronics will IFA 2026 to showcase ThinQ Claw, its next‑generation AI interface designed to sit at the centre of the connected kitchen. Building on the earlier AI Home concept, ThinQ Claw acts as a conversational agent capable of interpreting user intent, coordinating appliances, and automating everyday routines across the LG ecosystem.
A smarter, more intuitive kitchen
ThinQ Claw uses text‑based interaction to understand context and carry out personalised actions. LG highlighted several real‑world scenarios:
– Preparing the kitchen for guests — adjusting lighting, appliances and ambience.
– Managing indoor comfort — checking air quality and temperature before you arrive home.
– Lifestyle suggestions — recommending ways to relax, unwind or entertain.
The system also links with calendars and remembers user habits, creating a more adaptive and personalised home environment.
Open ecosystem powered by Homey
Inside LG’s AI Home Zone at IFA, the brand demonstrated its wider open ecosystem built on Homey, the smart‑home platform LG acquired in 2024. Homey’s compatibility with multiple brands and device categories allows ThinQ Claw to orchestrate not just LG appliances, but a broad mix of connected products.
Energy management was a major focus: LG showed how the platform can coordinate solar panels, home batteries, smart meters, EV chargers and household appliances to optimise consumption and efficiency.
European debut for ThinQ Pro
IFA 2026 also marked the European launch of LG ThinQ Pro, a solution aimed at shared homes, multi‑unit residences and commercial environments. Completing the ecosystem is LG Shield, a security layer designed to protect devices, services and user data.
