Nisbets has moved to liquidate UK Catering & Refrigeration Engineers Ltd, the service firm it bought in 2022 to strengthen its after‑sales support. The business, which generated £1.58m in 2024 sales, has now been fully absorbed into Nisbets following the wider group’s integration under Bunzl. With operations transferred and the company no longer trading, Nisbets says the closure is part of a corporate simplification strategy.

A formal liquidation meeting took place on 11 September, with Business Recovery’s Simon Thornton appointed to oversee the process.
