Dyson has expanded beyond its traditional home and personal care categories with the launch of the CameraJet, an innovative electric toothbrush combining a built-in camera, artificial intelligence and precision water flossing.
Unveiled in Paris, the CameraJet uses a 100,000-pixel macro camera to scan the mouth at up to 28 images per second. Dyson’s machine-learning system then identifies gaps between the teeth and automatically directs a targeted jet of mouthrinse into those areas.
The technology, called Gap Optical Targeting, is designed to combine brushing and interdental cleaning in a single device. The precision jet is triggered within around 100 milliseconds of a gap being detected.
The toothbrush also connects to the MyDyson app, allowing users to see a live view of their teeth and receive feedback on brushing technique, coverage and pressure.
Dyson says the CameraJet has been six years in development, with its machine-learning system trained using more than 470,000 dental images.
The device comes with a charging and refill dock, travel case and specially developed toothpaste and mouthrinse. It is available in Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink.
The CameraJet launched on 1 September 2026, marking Dyson’s first major move into the oral-care market and another example of the company applying advanced technology to an everyday household routine.
