Electrolux Professional has recently offered a sneak peek at an innovative prototype machine designed to enhance the washing and drying capabilities for reusable items.
During its All Taste, Less Waste event, which focuses on sustainable practices within the hospitality sector, the company revealed that while the new device is currently under development, it promises to elevate operational efficiency.
In the UK, the trend towards reusable packaging is gaining momentum, aligning with similar movements across other European nations.
Electrolux Professional is introducing the Electrolux Professional Returnable Station (ERS), a state-of-the-art, fully-automated dishwasher and dryer station for reusable items. The ERS distinguishes itself by tracking the items with a QR code system, facilitating a direct interaction between the machine and its users. This pioneering technology is being developed in partnership with various stakeholders, including prominent UK coffee chains.
Currently, Electrolux Professional is conducting pilot programs throughout Europe, notably in the UK. The inaugural pilot will witness coffee chains in a Northern English city transition from single-use items to reusables.
