Clear objectives of emissions reduction and sustainability integrated into its activities , both through an improvement in operational performance and with a strategy based on resource efficiency and energy saving solutions : here are the new steps forward by Haier Europe in its sustainability plan. The starting point of this ambitious objective is represented by the Haier Europe sustainability report , recently published: the document illustrates the main results achieved in the last period and the investments made by the company in favor of greater production efficiency in strategic plants, to reduce part of direct and indirect emissions by over 20%.
For the next few years, Haier Europe has announced its commitment to present a plan to reduce emissions by adopting a scientific and calculated approach through the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) , a global body that allows companies to set targets in line with latest scientific discoveries. Haier Europe has set an interim target of 60% renewable energy at all company-controlled sites by 2025 , and intends to support part of its operations with self-produced renewable energy by deploying solar panels at all its factories.
With its multi-brand offer ( Candy, Hoover and Haier ) Haier Europe offers a wide range of freestanding and built-in class A products , the most energy efficient for household appliances. Recently, the company also launched WashPass , the first AI-controlled subscription washing service and has focused on developing energy efficiency partnerships and also launched a new Green Energy division
