Midea America Research Center has opened its expanded facility in Louisville, Kentucky, growing its footprint by approximately 400% to 157,000 square feet and adding 22 new laboratories.

Bringing consumer research, engineering, product development and testing together under one roof, the center will help turn insights from U.S. consumers into practical and dependable home appliances. The expansion also supports local talent development, creating more opportunities for employees and students to build skills in engineering.

The opening was joined by Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg, state legislators, local economic development leaders and community partners.
