Gome Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd., one of China’s major home appliance and consumer electronics retailers, has been newly listed as a judgment debtor, according to the China Enforcement Information Network. The enforcement amount involved exceeds 817 million yuan.

The case is being handled by the Haizhu District People’s Court in Guangzhou, under case number (2026) Yue 0105 Zhi No. 15100, filed September 16.

Company snapshot: Founded in 2003 with registered capital of 1 billion yuan, legal representative Dong Xiaohong. Shareholders: China Pengrun Management (70%), Ocean City International (19.50%), Hongxi Investment (10.50%).

This adds to a pattern of legal troubles — per Gome’s bond disclosures, the company faced 16 new enforcement cases from January to June 2026, totaling roughly 2.7674 billion yuan.
